I'm actually surprised they're putting this fight on this particuliar PPV. I know Florian is a Boston area guy, so that makes sense, but I'm looking at the bigger picture.

Because of Toney, a decent of boxing fans who aren't really familiar with MMA will likely be ordering this card, and when they catch a whiff of Gray 'Lay and Pray' Maynard, they're probably gonna be bored silly.

If I were the UFC I would've loaded the card with more stand up fights, or at least fighters with a more fan friendly style than Maynard.

Yeah anything without out of the ordinary fan base tuning in should have all strikers.

It doesn't even have to be all strikers, but just more exciting fighters. I know he just fought so he's out, but someone like Tyson Griffin would've been perfect for this PPV. He's not a big puncher and a lot of his fights end up on the ground, but he's never in a boring fight.

It's a huge part of MMA, anything else would be misleading. If the new fans don't like it, oh well, nothing lost. True fans take the good with the bad.

It is a huge part of MMA, but what i would do is bring people in, get them hooked and THEN educate them.

    Absolutely.
I think Kenny Florian takes Maynard to task. So many more tools than Maynard. Kenny is going to keep this standing and brutalize him with Mauy Thai. I think Joe Silva did this on purpose so we don't have to see Maynard in a title shot anytime soon.

I like Frankie Edgar, but I really see Penn coming in and brutalizing him in this fight. I would love to see Edgar pull out another win, but I just don't see it.

The Palhares/Marquardt fight is interesting. I like Palhares, hoping to see him get the win here.

Couture/Toney is funny to me. Both guys are passed it in their respective professions. If Randy is smart he takes him down and subs him. If he isn't, Toney hurts him badly.

Where at? Hes a 3/1 underdog at most reputable places.
