Well I think JDS vs Overeem is pretty close. Especially since I was shocked to see Cain of all people crack JDS iron looking chin Glover ya that would be a showcase and a test of his TDD K.J Noons vs Donald (I haven't seen much of KJ) but wouldn't that be a pretty close stand up war ? And lastly I think Silva could do a bit better than last time and I'm glad he's getting a chance to try at least.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with all of your points, but the general opinion seems to be that: -Overeem is a bum and JDS will ko him easilly ( wich I don't agree, and thinks Overeem is very very live ) - Cain already destroyed Silva and will do it easilly again ( me, I think the cut was a major major factor of their first fight and that, while a considerable underdog, Silva should make this a good fight ) - Noons is a bum who will gets crush by Cerrone ( personnaly, I find Cerrone to be overrated, and Noons is pretty tough, so I expect this to be midly competitive ) - Texeria will run through Bader ( again, I find this to be a solid test of two prospects. Sure, Texeira is a huge favorite, but we've never seen his TDD tested very much and Bader seems to have potential, even though it doesn't look like he knows how to use it )
I was not impressed by Glover in the Rampage fight at all. I think Bader has a real good shot at beating him. Rampage has been shit for quite a while now and he was right there with Glover through most of that fight.
I think this fight will be telling if he has any business fighting Jones because if Bader can take you down then you're shit out of luck against JOnes.
I wasn't impressed with Glover in the Rampage fight either. Rampage was just begging to be taken out, and Glover just couldn't pull the trigger. At this point in both of their careers, the fight shouldn't have gone the distance. Maybe Glover just gave Rampage too much respect. TFK
So you thought he looked good? For all the hype and for how shitty Rampage is these days, it wasn't impressive to me at all.
I think Glover is good. I would put him on a Machida level but he just got so much unwarranted hype because some people turned him . I think he won't reach Jon Jones' heights but a Machida type career is very likely.
Enough. Come on man, you think I am some MMA noob or something? Even in his first UFC fight he didn't look very good against Maldonado. He got hurt pretty bad.
You know Z, you and I think alike too often. After the Rampage fight I was thinking the same thing. Let's be honest, Glover had a ton of hype coming into the UFC based on gym stories and tearing it up in Brazil. That being said, he was knocked dizzy by Maldanado and didn't look vastly better than a very shot Ramage Jackson. At the very least, I think most people would agree that he didn't live up to expectations against Rampage.
He was trying to get up. It's a title fight. Give him time. He took a worst beating in the alister fight and survived
I dont think he knew what he was trying to do... Did you watch the entire card, what did you think about Glover and JDS
Glover was whatever. But JDS was impressive. I would have put money on Mark catching JDS up against the cage. Came close a few times. I will enjoy watching Mark Hunt vs. Nelson
I'd look forward to that. Juniors striking was very effective and the finish was pretty impressive but I still can't see him beating Cain. Hunt is the ideal opponent for a guy like JDS Glover has a big rep but so far he's been average I was hoping to see a little more this evening.
Bigfoot didnt have a clue where he was. The stoppage was fine. Most impressed by TJ Grant. He has a good shot against Henderson..
Slow news days when we're pointing out typos from 3 months ago. Isn't there some revolutionary new body part to shit on or breakthrough anti-stroke medication to discuss?
Benson will fight Grant the same way he fought Nate Diaz only it'll be evens easier as Grant isn't as good. Grants a nice fighter and all but a title shot at this point is daft. They should've just made the Pettis fight instead of rushing super fights for Aldo.
i can wait for henderson vs. pettis II. i'm more excited about the aldo fight. grant's been on a stretch, but i agree that it's an easy fight for benson. even if it's a close fight we all know who's gonna get the decision.
