Damn Abe whatever his name is just Ko'ed Jamie Ver something in a most likely fight of the night/ko of the night.
I don't know. To think Don Frye predicted this would be the fight of the night! Too much whiskey Don!
I find it hilarious when showing the aldo highlights and the narration of Joe Rogan talking about him possibly being the best, the most footage they are using are against him and edgar, a fight he arguably lost.
Pretty ridiculous stoppage but there is a pretty clear gulf in class between Barao and Faber which is scary considering Faber has run through most of the division.
Even rogan admitted an argument can be made. We know you love the Brazilians dude, but enough already.
barao is a great talent and is more fun to watch than his teammate. aldo might not be exciting, but he's at least consistent and looks very hard to penetrate against. he does very well at not letting his opponent pick up any momentum. as soon as he gets hit, he retaliates immediately w/ something better.
overeem did a good job by not rushing in to finish mir. mir had very little to offer though. i'd like to see overeem fight silva or browne again. both winnable fights that would get him a title shot. his stamina's still questionable and his chin's already been exposed, but i still think he's the most dynamic striker in the division. although cain would be a huuuge favorite, i'd rather see him fight overeem over anyone else at this point.
I respect Reem for not finishing mir. He could have and held back. That being said, Overeem has very little to offer. He would get killed by an elite heavyweight. JDS should fight him next and that will be a slaughter.
He's really frustrating. He's maybe the most talented MMA fighter I've ever seen, and he wastes it. Makes it hard to be a fan.
Overeem's cardio sucks because he's always fighting two fights. First the guy in the cage, then the drug test.
I think Barao is superb, but Jon Jones is noticeably more talented than anyone I can think of other than prime Anderson and I think he's more talented than him, too. Barao at p4p 6, I think it said, right? I think he might be better, but 6 can be argued easily enough. Faber at #13 is overrated though. We are still talking about a guy manhandled by Mike Brown. Twice.
Faber is obviously better suited at 135. His losses to Brown were at 145 where he simply wasn't strong enough to contend with Brown's wrestling. Plus those fights were almost 4 years ago. Faber is clearly better now. That being said, he is clearly the 2nd best 135 pounder in the world. Unfortunately the gap between 1st and 2nd is huge. By the way, did Overroid really call out Lesnar? That's funny.
