Anybody Intrigued by this Bout???...REED Can't Say he Saw the 1st Go Around, but was SURPRISED to Learn Johnson Won...Dodson just SEEMED like the More Talented Fighter...

More of the Same in the RE or Can Dodson Right the Wrong???...

Pretty Good Undercard Too, Arlovski vs Mir, Rumble Johnson vs Manuwa and the Certifiably HOT Paige Van Zant vs. Not-Soooo Bad Herself Alex Chambers...

Another Weekend of Pre-Season Football Would Induce NAUSEA in REED, so he'll Head to Hooters Saturday Night, to Check this Out...

Johnson should win again. I think Arlovski KOs Mir, I hope he fights for the title next. It's amazing that this fight is even happening in 2015, let alone that it is essentially a number 1 contender bout.

Dodson has all the tools to beat Johnson. He's probably faster and absolutely hits harder. I'm picking Dodson by KO in 3.

Arlovski is a cool story. The dude got knocked out by Brett Rogers and switched to training with Greg Jackson. You can't argue the results as he looks reinvented and has been on a roll. The dude, famous for his questionable chin, has traded shots with good punchers like Browne and Rumble Johnson, and hasn't been stopped during his resurgence. He's always had very solid takedown defense and hits like a mule kick. If he walks through Mir, as I expect, I'll bet on Andrei versus Cain or Werdum. Whets amazing is that's not a crazy pick anymore.

I try and stay away from the stories on Arlovski and Mir. It connects me emotionally to both of them and i feel a loss would be devastating. But one thing frank has in his favor is that if when he decides to retire he can be an analyst or commentator and make serious bucks.

Yeah I feel the same, I like them both. Mir is a cool guy, I loved his rant about people that sit in front of their computer and talk shit but never do anything worthwhile themselves.

Is it really a number 1 contender bout? I'd rank JDS, Cain, Stipe, and Overeem over Mir and Arlovski. I love Mir and Arlovski though. This is an awesome fight between two former heavyweight champions making another run at the title. I'm hoping Arlovski can find a way to win.

Man, I could not agree more. I have yet to hear an MMA commentator that I like as much as I liked Mir when he was doing the WEC fights. The dude is well spoken and is able to clearly relay his knowledge of all aspects of MMA to viewers. I would pay Mir myself if he replaced Bas on the World Series of Fighting broadcast.

Also, there is no one I hate to see lose more than Frank Mir.

Stipe and Reem over Andrei? I guess if Reem beats JDS he'll have to be next in line for a title shot. Stipe is solid but needs to do more.

The arlovski losses bother me because this guy has been on record to be suicidal after that fedor loss .

my only gripe with mir is he talks too much. He loves to hear himself talk. He makes great points, but he over analyzes things too much.

Overeem and Arlovski both have elite kickboxing and grappling skills. Sambo for Arlovski and BJJ for Overeem. They both have weak chins. I don't know who I'd pick in a match between them, but I'd have to root for Andrei. He's been one of my favorite fighters since he beat Tim Sylvia for the title.

I saw Andrei beat Roy Nelson in person in Sunrise FL at an Elite XC event. The headliner was supposed to be Ken Shamrock vs Kimbo Slice, but Ken pulled out at the last minute. The main reason I went there was for the Arlovski / Nelson fight. Seth Petruzelli beating Kimbo was just a bonus thing.

Mir lost the commentating job when he said something about how he wanted to actually kill Brock Lesnar in the octagon. I don't know how that was considered offensive enough to have him lose his job. He's one of the best MMA commentators out there. He's great at explaining technical details of the fight to people who don't have experience with jiu jitsu.

Replacing Bas, that's another thing. Bas was my MMA hero from the 90s. I finally met him in person a couple years ago.

I loved Bas as a fighter and he is a great MMA personality, but even as a fan, you have to admit he is painful to listen to on a broadcast. He is fun and tolerable in the studio but doing color commentary on a live fight, he isn't the best.

Mir is a cheating piece of shit. You can feel bad when he loses, I sure won't.

Bas and Joe Rogan are my two favorite commentators. I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see them together for a UFC event.

Frank Mir's WEC Commentary was During REED's MMA Infancy Stages...At the Time, REED's Homey (Marcus Hicks) was a LEGIT Top 5 Guy in his Weight Class, for a Year or So...Had 3-4 Televised WEC Bouts...

To the Point, Frank Mir was WEC's Color Commentator @ the Time, & Dude LITERALLY Educated REED on the Sport During Fights...EXTREMELY Detailed Shit...He Would Explain WHERE the Attacker Should Aim For and HOW the Victim Should Look to Counter...WHERE, Specifically, Certain Submissions Hurt AND the Repercussions if a Fighter Didn't Tap, the NAMES of Various Maneuvers, etc...

Mir Has a BRIGHT Future in Front of Him, Commentating....

That was a crazy fight. Just 45 seconds of blind, wild slugging waiting to see who dropped first.
