First of I don't care much for the MMA....right now I'm kinda jumping between the undercard fights of Canelo vs. Trout and the free UFC show...have NEVER paid for UFC ppv... too much dry humping on the ground and pushing off the cage, etc...anyway watch I watch 8 fights today(100-93) A few decent(Thiago vs. Lytle and Kelly vs. Taylor) fights and a few duds(Gracie vs. Hughes & Penn vs. Thomas-I guess these two are more about their significant at the time) and two VERY good fights(Sherk vs. Griffin-a few takedowns but a whole lot of standing up and punching & Floridian vs. Lauzon-a lot of ground but not just dry humping a whole lot of moving and what they call transitions or some shit.) Yeah I could've probably found all these in some torrent or something...but not bad for 20 dollars.. Still have... Penn vs. Sierra Franklin vs. Shamrock Penn vs. Uno Jardine vs. Griffin Edgar vs. Griffin to check out from the first DVD...
Penn vs. Uno I guess you mma connoisseurs love it i guess... Franklin vs. Shamrock? Really in the top 100 greatest fights? Jardine vs. Griffin good stand up and fast finish... Edgar vs. Griffin...not bad. Liddell vs. Horn...always did appreciate Chuck's goofy looking style good beating. Tanner vs. Baroni....whatever first few seconds were good, stupid ref. Rizzo vs. Barnett...whatever.. Liddell vs. White...fast KO.. St. Pierre vs. Trigg...the commentator said these two were the number #2 and 3 guys in the division...well I never seen anyone completely dominated in such short time..good fight. Koppenhaver vs. Rolling...War machine? cool name... Franklin vs. Tanner...watched it about an hour ago..can't remember it was that awesome TOP 100? really? Serra vs. St. Pierre.....coming from a boxing fan kinda strange watching the top P4P guy in MMA getting ko'ed...if that happen to Floyd he would kill himself..or become a crack addict.. Jardine vs. Liddell.....GREAT FIGHT!! Silva vs. Irvin...it was quick..it was a KO...
In watching these myself, I think the UFC is confused about the difference between a great fight and a memorable fight. many of the included fights are memorable for exciting KO's or back story, but they aren't all great fights.
Hughes vs. Sherk good fight considering they were on the ground against the cage for 90% of the time. Gracie vs. Gordeau…please I guess it here because of it’s historical significance? Franklin vs. Loiseau 23 minutes of one guy beating the living shit out of another guy… St. Pierre vs. Miller: Mayhem cool name...high energy fight; is Miller special? As in mentally retarded? Nogueira vs. Mir: is that stab scar in Nogueira's back? Good standup fighting by Mir Abbott vs. Frye: come on! the UFC has really grown/improved since, just a few years later everything was 100x better. Williams vs. Coleman: WOW this fight sucked..nice KO though. Penn vs. Uno I: 20 second brother.. Machida vs. Ortiz: Boring shit...other than the final round(3) Carter vs. Serra: Fast pace 1st round; shit stoppage IMO. St. Pierre vs. Penn II?: It was okay... Stout vs. Fisher: Okay stand up fight Liddell vs. Sobral II? Quick Ko what else u want? St. Pierre vs. Hughes: MMA p4p losing again..respect. Griffin vs. Guida: Excellent slugfest when they weren't hugging each other along the cage. Round 2 was very good not because of the punches/slugging but because of all the transitions and shit... Penn vs. Stevensson: From the few fights I have seen of him I don't care for Penn. St. Pierre vs. Parisyan: Fast pace decent fight... Lesnar vs. Couture: Good fight because it ends quick....no 5 round..drag..and drag...someone should tell the UFC about this shit. Hughes vs. Newton: From the few fights I seen of Hughes I like him...as long as takes guys down and pound their faces. If he just takes them down to hold 'em there to tick the clock down...then fuck him. Huerta vs. Garcia: Decent slugfest.. Franklin vs. Tanner: Almost felt asleep Evans vs. Griffin: It was okay.... Sherk vs. Floridian...the shark? Should be the bull...Sherk is awesome when he isn't fighting Penn or Hughes Liddell vs. Sobral: Another KO for Liddell quick and fast...I feel like prostitute I like it like that.. Evans vs. Liddell: Brutal KO Jackson vs. Silva: Brutal revenge KO...
