Here are mine. What are yours ? 1.Lesnar 2.JDS 3.Cain 4.Carwin 5.Mir 6.Nelson 7.Big Nog 8.Kongo 9.Gonzaga 10.Schaub So we have Lesnar (#1) vs Cain (#3) Coming up..with JDS (#2) waiting to fight Les...I mean the winner of that fight. Then you have a proposed fight of Carwin (#4) vs Nelson (#6) @ UFC 125 They will probably have Mir fight the Cai..I mean the loser of Lesnar vs Cain You also have gonzaga (#9) fighting Schaub (#10) @ UFC 121 And Kongo (#8) will take on Travis Browne (unrated) @ UFC 120 .
It's funny, but even though I wouldn't rank them in the Top 10, I think guys like Russow, Madsen or Rothwell would have decent shots at beating Kongo, Schaub, Mir and Big Nog. And Rothwell has a win over Nelson although things have obviously changed.
So here are the updated UFC heavyweight rankings for the month of OCTOBER 2010. 1.Cain Valasquez (champion) 2.JUNIOR DOS SANTOS 3.Brock Lesnar 4.Shane Carwin 5.Frank Mir 6.Roy Nelson 7.Big Nog 8.Brendon Schaub 9.Jon Madsen 10.Ben Rothwell So we have Lesnar move down to #3 after his lose to Cain who now easily gets the top spot . JDS remains at #2. I dropped Lesnar below JDS because quite frankly Lesnar got dominated in his last two fights. Expect now to see Brock Lesnar / Frank Mir 3 @ UFC 121 We also had Brendon Schaub win 3 rounds to nothing over Gabriel Gonzaga. That win moves Brendon up to number 8 and drops Gabriel out of the top 10 @ UFC 121 We also had Jon Madsen defeat Gilbert Yvel. Both were unranked but now with the win Madsen enters at number 9 . Expect Yvel to be gone from the UFC after going 0-3 And couple weeks back @ UFC 120 we had Kongo who at the time was at #8 take on the new comer Travis Browne who was unrated. In that fight (which ended in a draw) neither showed they belong in the top 10. We also have Ben Rothwell debuting at #10
