Looks that way from here. Malinaggi went the distance...Judah got KTFO. How can this be? Does Malinaggi have a future at 140/147??:dunno:

No,......It's just that Zab Judah, is simply, by far and away the most overrated fighter in the sport.

It's not that simple. This was a far bigger fight, cotto was on better form, zab stood and fought more than paulie, and cotto was more intent on taking zab out.

No, I don't think paulie would beat zab, even given the beating zab just took.

So where is Paulie at in all this? I figure he's pretty insignificant, his hands and all that.:dunno:

I was still impressed with paulie against cotto. He's tougher than he looks, and has heart. He is not a bum.

I disagree on a couple of things.

    1) I don't think this was "far" bigger a fight. Bigger? Arguable, if just because of Zab's name. But Judah hasn't won an important fight since the start of 2005. He has been on a losing streak and quite frankly, that was somehow ignored by everybody picking Zab.

    2) Zab stood and fought more? I don't agree there. I think Zab kind of gave up quite early on in the piece and simply then started looking for one punch to turn it around for him. Paulie took a bigger beating IMO and never looked like he wanted out. Malignaggi, for all of his perfectly shaped hair and horrible faggy looks, fought with a TONNE of heart IMO. More than Zab.

    3) Zab would start favourite against Paulie. Fair enough. But they don't fight in the same division.

    They don't, but they could.

Fair enough, it may not have been far bigger, but bigger. Any Cotto fight against a half decent opponent is a big fight at MSG.

Zab is a bigger name than Paulie, AND without a doubt - despite the losing streak - was regarded as more dangerous. Shit, you were even planning to place a Zab by KO bet. Were you thinking of doing the same with Paulie?

Paulie showed at least as much heart as Zab, yes, I'll give you that. And he didn't run like a bitch, but he generally being cuter and engaging less than Zab. For the first half the of fight, Zab pretty much engaged cotto, and tried to take him out.

When he realized how tough cotto was, and how impossible to discourage, he became discouraged himself, and was fighting more scared in the last 3 rounds, and just looking for that 1 big shot.

But to be fair to him, even in the round before he got mauled senseless by cotto, he still had it in him to throw some big shots etc.

Cotto DID look like more of a beast against Zab than Paulie, and he WAS more intent on taking him out.

Don't forget too, he said Judah was his toughest fight, not Paulie.

One more thing, I don't think Zab was on a losing streak. OK it was against Galvan, but it should have been a win.

Zab didn't fight like a puss, Paulie did. That was the difference. Even though Judah lost, and didn't throw enough punches, he deserves credit for the effort he put forth.

I think Zab gets a raw deal, IMO he is a decent figher that lost to top guys in his weight, at least he has the ball to fight these guys. He also went the whole 9 yards with the immortal mayweather

Cotto was weight drain for Malignaggi fight...thats the only reason Paulie went 12 rounds....Paulie would've ended like Quintana and Judah..otherwise.

judah managed to tag and hurt cotto at times and remained dangerous throughout. paulie fought to survive and posed zero threat from round 1.

cotto's also a lot stronger at 147 and seems to have improved since his departure at 140.

Fuck that! Zab had bitched up by the 2nd rd and was too intimidated to even try to fight back. He's sitting there banging on his heart like he has some, but being too scared to fight back is even worse. At least Paulie had the heart to try to fight back and that was with a broken jaw.

So yes, Paulie stood up to Cotto better than that punk Judah.

Other than throwing the same hopeless uppercut time and again Zab basically let Cotto just beat the shit out of him. He had given up by rd 2 people! How come you guys couldn't see how bitched up he was? :dunno:
Ya'll need to watch that fight again. Watch Zab look at his face and body language, he was scared shitless.

I just don't buy this notion that Judah was "fighting back"....he was backpedalling looking for a hail mary...thats hardly "fighting back".....that said the next time Cotto throws a low blow a point should come off automatically. Both his low shots were hella low.

True and on the 2nd one I had thought Judah was faking and looking for a way out until they showed the replay. The replay also showed that Judah was pulling Cotto's head down so in a way he sorta caused the 2nd low blow.

Here's what I couldn't believe. That bitch had the gail to ask for a rematch! Like I said I was shocked he had the nuts to stick around for the interview the way he bitched out in that fight.

:nono: You fool! Cotto's last fight @140 was against Paul. And Cotto was badly weight drained. Thats the reason why that pretty boy made it 12 rounds. Cotto's stamina in his last fight @140 was getting bad.

Paulie stood up better than Zab?
I would rather get KOed and still keep my face rather than go 12 and look like smegiel from lord of the rings afterwards like Mr Paulie did

Well Judah looked like Quasimodo. Let's not forget that Judah also took a knee in the Cotto fight. Did Paulie take a knee? No.
