Honestly..... It's such a mystery. I've watched as much MMA as anyone. I can dissect fights from a technical perspect. I can intelligently talk about styles meshing and contrasting.

But then it comes time to pick fights and I absolutely throw it all out the window.

For example, I picked Silva over Sonnen in every discussion. I went into detail about Sonnen not being a finisher and how it would cost him as Silva can finish fights from any position.

And then I pick Sonnen.

Honestly, WTF.....

 

MMA fights are just hard to pick, I talk shit but I have just as many crappy picks as everyone else here. It's way harder to pick MMA fights than it is boxing.

 

I think it's because there's so many different ways to hurt a fighter in an MMA fight, that you see the lesser talented fighter win a hell of a lot more than you do in a boxing match.
