KO counts by refs when the fallen fighter is out cold.

Glen Johnson on Roy Jones-the ref actually reached ten befor waving it off.

    Miranda on David Banks

I think the ref counted out Brown vs Pettway too. Edit:Yep, he did, I checked.

considering that Banks nearly beat the count, it's a pretty bad example.

    Mundine against Ottke.
Some of the most biased reffing (along with Eddie Cotton in Lewis-Tyson) I've ever seen in that fight.

Seriously this is the best thread ever. For me the best part of a good KO is seeing someone count out someone whose beyond KO'd

Is that view a contentious one Joe?
-I know there isn't much love for Mundine (which I can understand). In fact, Let me go on the record as saying that I regard Mundine as an embarrasing dick-head, but Kelly seemed pretty biased against him to me in that fight.

I've only seen the KO from that fight, so I wasn't commentating on the officiating. It would be a great thread though if you'd like to start it. I already took someone else's idea and started this one. I thought that once was enough for the day.

Ottke KOing Mundine, is the most correct answer.

    :bears::bears::bears:

He was unconscious, flat on his back, while Kelly was staring him str8 in his unconscious face giving him this exagerated 10 count., when he should have done what Cortez did in Tyson-Holmes-waved it off immediately.
    -Ridiculous

Augie "kid Vegas" Sanchez vs "The prince" Naz. When that kid get's clocked he went to sleep and left in a stretcher. He actually followed that up with another loss leaving in a stretcher before they pulled his license. The kid had good power and wobbled "the prince" a few times before being ko'd. His downfall was the wizard never gave him a chin when he had the opponent in trouble and rushed in to close the show.... he was in more trouble.

Ortega stopped it as soon as Augie hit the floor after that 4 punch combo.

Others that fit the original post:

    Brown-Pettway
    Hearns-Shuler

In Ruddock-Dokes the ref kept counting until DOkes' handlers rushed in

Kimbo gets a sloooow 30 count, falls down right away then gets another drawn out 30 count before finally having the fight waved off, horrible reffing!!

I agree. He was about 85% up when the ref said 10 ...
I also thought that ref counted fairly quick ...

Considering he fell through the ropes , he might have made it to his feet if a different ref was counting.

What an idiot ref. The doctor was in the ring before the count of 10.
