YEAH I THINK WE HAVE ALL SEEN THE TYSON/DOUGLAS THING AND THAT IS PRETTY MUCH THE TOP OF ANY LIST WHEN IT COMES TO IT BUT HOW BOUT OTHERS THAT YOU HAVE SEEN, WHAT HAS BEEN THE FIGHTS WHERE THE UPSET WAS SO BIG YOU REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS OUT OF THE REALM OF POSSIBILTY AND WHEN IT HAPPENED YOU WERE JUST LEFT SPEECHLESS, FOR ME THE BIGGEST ONE I EVER SAW WAS THE FRANKIE RANDALL/JC CHAVEZ FIGHT, THE WHOLE NIGHT WAS JUST A WEIRD THING, CHAVEZ LOST THE FIRST 4 ROUNDS PER USUAL BUT THEN RANDALL STARTED BUILDING THE LEAD AND IN THE 11TH (IF I AM NOT MISTAKING) RANDALL DROPPED THE HAMMER OF DAWN RIGHT HAND AND DROPPED CHAVEZ, IT WAS PRETTY MUCH DONE FROM THERE, THOUGH THE SCORING SEEMED SHOOTY...GIMME YOUR THOUGHTS FELLAS

Obviously Tyson/Douglas. I remember that was the first Tyson fight I didn't watch in about 2 years and my brother and uncles were talking about how he lost the following day. I was like damn really no way.

    Forrest-Mosley 1

He beat the crap out of Shane, I called it despite having to deal with Shane-Nation back then.

If biggest means least likely, then a lot of these don't belong.
Benn/McClellan and Phillips/Tszyu were only like 6-1 fights and Lewis was only a 2-1 favorite over McCall.

Biggest one I know of was Danny Romero losing to Willy Salazar. Another would be E. Clottey beating Abdulaev.

I take your point, but 6-1 in boxing terms is a pretty big dog. Ali was considered a no-hoper against Sonny Liston, but he was 'only' a 6-1 dog. Ditto against Foreman.

33-1 dogs like Buster come only once or twice a generation, and is obviously the main one which springs to mind, but they are as rare as you'd expect at those odds.

Tarver - Jones II is probably the greatest and most shocking upset since Douglas - Tyson

Baldomir over Judah was a very big upset considering Judah had just become undisputed at WW and Baldomir was UNHEARD of.

Yeah, it wasn't so much that Tarver won, because the first fight was close, but the way in which he did it was a bit shocking.

Foreman-Moorer was a bit similar for me, especially given the way the fight went before the knockout.

There have been bigger underdogs that have won, but there haven't been many fights I've watched that left me quite as surprised. Part of it is just the suddeness of the knockouts.

have to go with Rahman-Lewis and Tarver-Jones....prob cos of their out of the blue, one punch nature

a fight that hasn't been mentioned is Forrest-Mosley.....Mosley was looking pretty invincible, and seeing his head get bashed around by Forrest was shocking, despite Forrest's own credentials and history with Mosley
