Just let the record reflect it.

Says he'll fight him at 200lbs.

I bet fuck all comes of it. Usyk is just way way too good.

Calling out the biggest money-maker in the sport. Unprecedented move.

Yeah but that wasn't my point. My point was that Canelo is looking for Cruisers, but this is not the Cruiser Droid he is looking for :Jest:

No, Canelo wouldn't be comfortable taking that fight.

This calling out shit is irrelevant when it comes to the cash cow. May as well "call out" De La Hoya, Tyson and Floyd. Hell while we're at it maybe see if Oprah Winfrey would entertain the idea.

If Alvarez beat usyk at 200lbs would he be fairly considered the greatest boxer ever?

If that fight was signed i would bet on Alvarez as it would seem a business decision was agreed to.

I think a better question would be who would Canelo have to beat to shut the haters up once and for all? And the answer is no one. Canelo could beat Fury and haters would say he say he's ducking Charlo and Andrade. I think Canelo has done enough in his career to where he should be able to fight whoever he wants. It seems like he's focused on stats, in his mind making history, breaking records. I don't agree with that specially the Makubu fight but if he beats him and moves to 175 beats Bivol and Bebertieve I would be impressed. not much left to prove. He has the fanbase that would watch him fight youtubers if he wanted to. he could laugh all the way to the bank.

    DAVID BENAVIDEZ…

What People “Hate” is the Manipulative Bullshit Associated w/Canelo; the Catchweights, Rehydration Clauses, Morning of the Fight Weigh-Ins for LARGER Men, etc.

Specific to Benavidez, Canelo NEVER Utters His Name. EVER! Instead, as Soon as Benavidez Loses His Belt on the Scales, Canelo Swoops In and Convinces the WBC to Place the Vacated Title on the Line as Canelo Fought Callum Smith for the WBA Strap, Simultaneously…

Then, Canelo Convinces the WBC to Allow Him to Face Yildirum to Fulfill his Mandatory, Even Though Benavidez Is/Was Ranked HIGHER…

Worse, Canelo Then LIED and Said He Never Made Such Demands, Which Gave the WBC No Recourse But to ADMIT Canelo DID In Fact Ask for the Vacated Title and the Yildirum Mandatory…

Canelo Isn’t SCARED of Anybody, But He’s Clearly AVOIDING David Benavidez…

To Be Fair, Boxing Fans “Hated” Ray Leonard, Dela and Floyd Similarly, Over the Years…

I don't disagree with what has been said of Canelo. At all.

But it could be said of others, too.

Canelo ain't reinventing the wheel here.

Caleb Plant, Callum Smith, Billy Joel Saunders, and David Benevidez were at 168 for years before Canelo moved up. How come they never faced each other? Yet Canelo fought all 3 champions and beat them(Smith, Saunders. Plant) in 11 months and you're focused on the ONE guy that lost his belt for being a fat lazy coke head? Why not focus on all the positives like Canelo cleaning up the division from pretenders that never wanted to face each other in the first place. I like Benavidez he's a fun fighter but what happened he did to himself. And he hasn't beat any champions at 168 and Canelo did so all this talk about Benevidez being this boogeyman everyone is running from is pure speculation. Canelo moving up to fight Makabu and become a 5 division champ will do more for his legacy than Fighting Benavidez. From a fan point of view Its a fight I want to see,

alvarez shouldnt get all this praised heaped upon him for defeating a bunch of mediocre whites.

there has never been a fighter in history to become undisputed winning 4 belts vs ALL whites. and 3 of the whites were euro! unbelievable.

Smith, Plant and Saunders WOULDN’T Fight Benavidez Either…And Neither Would Charlo, for That Matter…

The FACT Is, Canelo’s Undisputed Champion Without Facing the NEXT BEST Guy Within the Division…He CALCULATED Each Move to Undisputed, Starting w/Showing ZERO INTEREST In the WBC Title, Until Benavidez was STRIPPED Of It…

If ANY Other Fighter Did Some Shit Like THAT, You’d Call a Spade a Spade…But You’re Fan Girl’ing Right Now…

Call Him a “Fat, Lazy, Cokehead” All You Want; FACTS PROVE Canelo Has Danced Around Benavidez Even Back When He Had a Belt…

Beating McKooBoo Does About as Much as the Rocky Fielding Fight Did for Canelo’s Legacy…Meaning CASUALS Will OMG it, But Fightbeat Certainly Won’t Be Impressed, Especially if Canelo Pulls That Catchweight/Rehydration Clause Bullshit Again…

With your logic Floyd Mayweather should get no credit for Ricky Hatton. White, Euro and mediocre. Checks all the boxes.

Andre Ward doesn't deserve any credit for beating Kessler, Froch and Kovalev. His entire legacy was based on beating white boys.

Oh wait Fury is not the real HW champ Wilder is ...those wins don't count cause he was a Euro-bum. Lol

on the other hand, it was indeed implied they were not good because they were white.

I wouldn't argue that. BUT you can't penalize a fighter for fighting the best available champions. Different eras have different champions. Some would Argue Jones Jr. fought a lot of bums later in his career. He's still a great fighter that for the most part dominated his competition. If we saw Canelo struggle with Smith, Saunders or Plant then that would be concerning. But at no point was Canelo ever hurt or losing the fight. He may have been frustrated and lost some rounds but was winning the fight.
