doug fischer is busting his nuts right now interviewing his boy.

despite all that, i think valero would put a serious hurting on marquez.

pitalua is a pretty tough dude. if valero blazed him early that is impressive.

I'd rather see valero put weeping juan diaz flat on his back again so stinger goes into cardiac arrest.

it would be, but with the way Valero carries his chin in the air, he's got to be exposed sooner or later. I think a fight with Casamayor would be a good'n, i think we'd get a proper idea of how good Valero really is.

Im unsure if Casamayor could have beaten Pitalua, so I don't want to see that fight.

Valero is ready for the big boys.

put pacquiao aside, valero vs. marquez is the fight to be made.

hbo better jump on it real soon. valero is a superstar in the making.

marquez at his best beats valero imo, but not right now. that dude can seriously punch.

I don't really see that fight getting made at this stage of Marquez's career.

I wasn't aware there was another opinion possible about this :partie:

His KO clips need to be circulated ASAP if we want this fight to happen. It's gotta be a kimbo slice kind of deal where lots and lots of people go "WHOA? WHO IS THAT GUY?!!!!" Viral marketing all the way.

Arum said that Valero and JMM should fight and winner gets Manny Pac.

Pitilua is 900 years old and his biggest win is against chinny Santa Cruz.

Valero still raises his chin up when he jabs. He's a KO highlight waiting to happen, and Marquez would do it in 3 rounds.

Excellent and accurate post, you described Valero's style, or rather, lack thereof, perfectly.

I was there in person last night and saw a rank golden glove amateur in Valero.

He fights with his chin straight up in the air, and hands down at his side, looking a bit like the old "Bowery Boys" or "Three Stooges" kind of style in those old comedy films.

I stated to all at ringside that he stinks as a fighter, and will get his ass handed to him the first time he fights anyone good, and most all agreed with me.

He is powerful, can punch, but as skill-wise and technique-wise go, is awkward and an amateur.

Excellent post, he is an accident waiting to happen.

Valero looked like he had at least 15 pounds on that little fellow last night in the ring.

Having your chin in the air doesn't really mean anything when you are punching your opponents chin. Valero has really good defence. Just because he doesn't have textbook chin down technique it doesn't mean that he is easy to hit. Lots of fighters have textbook chin down stances and get hit alot.

Pitalua is good and he couldn't do anything against Valero. Loco is good and dropped Valero but got his ass beat for the rest of the fight.

If you seriously don't think Valero is good ask any of his sparring partners how good he is. Barrera said he would beat Pac. De la Hoya kicked him out of camp for beating his ass. He reguarly beats up the Santa Cruz bros, Antillon and Morales.

Who is anybody good in your opinion because after Valero beats them i don't wanna hear no excuses from you that Valero sucks.

mY main problem with people who say this is that they invariably define 'good' as being the guy who finally does beat the fighter.

Examples...Barrera was Naz's first good opponent. Calz was Kessler's, and so on.

Edit: RJJP4P beat me to it

Seriously, some boxer with a pleasing style mustve put his "amateur moves" on Karl's sister and mother in a three way extravaganza, why else would this keyboard typist constantly attack unorthodox guys.

We know you are a talentless hack who never had the balls to fight pro, because someone with half Valero's skills would've ended your life, but why hate on Pacquiao and Valero, and these other clearly great fighters.

    Edwin Valero is a beast.
