Sure. Except he doesn't throw that many and probably doesn't have the kind of power that would be fight changing in this fight. Meanwhile Williams would be doing what he does, throwing and throwing and throwing & while Forrest's defence is solid, it isn't the kind of defence that can shut a guy down. It'd probably end up close; and styles being as they are I'd lean slightly towards Williams.
Look no further than the first few rounds of Shittron vs Paul. Despite the ending, it doesnt change the fact that Kermit in the first few rounds had alot of success with his jab on Williams, and basically connected everytime he threw. Forrest's jab alone would keep Paul off balance. And he'd have a field day countering Paul, esp with the right uppercut. He defintely hit hard enough to hurt Williams, and make him think twice about rushing in. Only Paul is too dumb to think, but he'd try and try... which might lead to a stoppage for Forrest. But I'll give Williams a break, and say he losses a UD. Stylewise, Mayorga is a better matchup for Williams than Forrest.
Put this fight in Vegas or California, and I can easily see Williams stealing a decision on sheer volume alone. I'm with cdogg, would be a shit fight, very amateurish with both guys throwing but neither one taking a risk
Jake strikes me as one of those guys who's the nicest in the world but you'd never want to be on their bad side.
:: that actually happened about a year ago and I picked Whitaker because he was about 750,000 times better than anyone Norris lost to
