Well according to Showtime... Ward is the second coming of Leonard, mixed with RJ. So I'd say ole Green did pretty for good himself to go the distance w/o getting seriously wobbled by such a god.

 

Green didn't come to win. Stopped fighting after the 2nd round.

 

I didn't think Ward would be able to smother Green like that. I thought he would use the same distance that he did in the Kessler fight and that gave Green a decent chance to catch Ward with something if he tried.

Green didn't do anything but I believe it was because Ward bullied him and beat him down. Ward showed that he can adjust his style. I still think he will win the tournament unscathed.

 

Didn't see it, but here's an even better question:

If Green comes back and totally fucks up Kessler do you then have to take his excuse of overtraining into account? I mean is it true that he actually had 3 training camps and could have possibly overtrained?

 

Green is SUGGESTING that he had 3 Camps w/NO Rest, which is BOGUS...

I think it was more of a case of Green being a bitch. The dude simply did not fight. Plain and simple. He le the fighter with less power bully him around. What a disgrace. :shit:

Not taking anything away from Ward, because he fought a great fight, but Green simply bitched out.

 

I think Green fought like a bitch. But Ward had something to do with that. As a matter of fact he had a lot to do with it. He fought a great fight and dominated. He's starting to show his versatility. I'll Holla 5000

 

No question Green was not at his best, but this is boxing at the highest level. When you only fight twice a year, you have to be able to perform when the lights come on. Ward beat the fight out of Green and out-bullied him.

All credit to Ward. People can keep doubting him all they want, but the guy does what he needs to do to win and he makes no excuses.

 

green was not at his best? that is hogwash. the guy is what he is and was in with someone who was stronger, more skilled and hungrier than he was.

 

Green was afraid of getting countered. For someone with such a high powered offense it's a shame, maybe he didn't realize he's in the Super 6 and not on ESPN anymore and no one is going to lay down for him. Green is a typical bully, when things are going his way he'll beat you to a pulp and pound his chest but let someone stand up to him and he shrinks like a violet. Ward always controls the distance in his fights Green should have known he would have to fight like hell to even win a round against Ward let alone the fight.

 

We've seen him look better was all I meant. Ward beat the shit out of Green and would do it 10 times out of 10. As a Ward fan, I'll admit I was nervous about Green being able to land the fight-changing shot. But Ward gets full credit. He figured out exactly how to win this fight and took Green's heart in the process.

We'll see what Green's attitude is like as the Kessler fight nears.
