Tiger White was a 'never was'. But he makes for reasonably entertaining standup battles.

eh, he was at least a guy worth watching...had decent skills, and usually provided a little resistance to his opponent....I think they could have matched Lyoto a little better

what are your thoughts on the card?

Rob McCollough has a tough fight with (??? dammit, I think the guy fights with team Quest or the team out of New Mexico)

    Good event....

Bas took out Warpath with 3 leg kicks....2 were fucking amazing, the one that ended the fight wasnt so great....After the first kick, Warpath acknowledged that Bas hurt him with it, after the second, Warpath wobbled and started limping badly. The third dropped him completely....Bas looked to have excellent hand speed, but then again, Warpath is about as slow as they come.

Rampage and Lindland was a wrestling match....The two exchanged slams in the first round, and Linland nearly had Quinton choked out on two occasions, but Rampage fought through it, showing some excellent heart, and somehow ended up with one of those infamous MMA dec wins.

Art Santore and Ivan Salavary was the fight of the night, with Ivan displaying an array of kicks that Jet Li would have been proud of, and Ivan eventually stopped Santore after a barrage of kicks and punches.

Mayhem controlled Lodune Sincaid for the entire fight, 90% of which was spent on the ground, and 90% of THAT was Mayhem have back control. Mayhem used that back control to secure a rear naked choke with time winding down in the first round.

Lyoto looked unimpressive, but still got the W against a game Vernon White. This wasnt the same Machida who blew through Rick Franklin.

Lyoto's just not that great. He never was.

Beating Franklin before Rich found his groove is a nice acheivement....but nothing to make a career on.

By the way, sice this is a boxing board, i thought it'd be of interest that Barry Tompkins was the play by play guy. I MMA event into his career, he's already by far the best PbP guy out there. He admitted he didnt know shit about the sport, yet he still blows Goldy out of the water

Barry Thompkins is alright in my book. My all-time favourite announcer.

I like Tompkins too. Always have.

Him, Tim Ryan and Al Bernstein are my favorite announcers.
