Canelo-Cotto is the obvious fight. Would be a great fight and do a million buys. I think Canelo would win as well.

A funny thing happened in the post fight press conference. Erislandy Lara was present and openly challenged Alvarez saying something like 'that is the fight everybody wants to watch'. Canelo responded by asking a question to the crowd present 'who wants to see that fight?' only a few timid applauses were heard. Canelo then responded to Lara "I think that was your manager'. :giggle:

Canelo looked really good saturday night. I don't know if he learned from his performance vs Floyd, if it was a style matchup or if he's was drained, but he looked far speedier and livelier. Yes, I understand that Floyd is not Angulo, but Canelo performance in that fight was pathetic. Really made me question if he was a fraud.

would like to see him vs Lara to see if it's a case of not being able to deal with a good boxer (let's remember he didn't looked to hot vs Trout). GGG, Martinez or even Cotto would all be good fights.

LOL. That was really witty, and Canelo owned him on that, HOWEVER..... Canelo wants no parts of Lara.

A defensively sound southpaw with power in his left hand is NOT the type of style Canelo wants to face.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Canelo vs Kirkland next. Exciting fight while it lasts, and one that Canelo will win by stoppage. Kirkland will give him more trouble than Angulo did though.

Terrible style match up. Just like with Marquez (and no im not saying Alvarez is as skilled as Marquez before somebody tries to pick a barny with me, just a similar style).

Angulo showed up for a check. He wasn't tryin to win for whatever reason. The guy was throwing pitty pat bullshit punches the first few rounds when he had his best chance to win. Too much money behind alvarez

LOL @ Canelo being a different fighter. Sat night went exactly as most of us expected. Angulo is a punching bag with zero speed. He was made to order for Canelo. Canelo looked the same on Sat night as he looked when he beat up the corpse of Mosley.

Floyd schools Canelo 11 times outta 10.

Nah, I think he showed up to try and win. He's just a sloth. A shop worn sloth at that.

He may be able to provide more offense but that's about it. Kirkland won't be able to go 10 rounds absorbing the same shots Angulo did.

I didn't say he would last as long. He would provide trouble though. Kirkland's feet aren't stuck in mud, and he's just a more ferocious fighter overall than AnguSLOW.

Yeah, a garbage man who beat the ever living fuck outta the same man who Canelo got a gift stoppage over on Sat. Kirkland didn't need a gift stoppage. I mean, don't get me wrong, Canelo will light Kirkland up, but Kirkland won't be the punching bag AngulSlow was. He'll go down swinging.

Agreed. Ishida San's son is really not much good, but he is a warrior, and highly aggressive. At the very least he'll try his best to put a beating on Canelo, even if he gets lit up with ease. His decent speed and ferocity should have some success at least.

LOL, gift stoppage... Yes, the ref really rescued Canelo from the embarrassment of winning a 12-0 decision

Angulo was exhausted after 2 minutes in that Kirkland fight... guy wasn't prepared... surely you know the story... and he still knocked that bum on his ass... Canelo will knock Kirkland out

Angulo wasn't prepared for Kirkland my ass! Why the Hell does bum ass Angulo get a pass for his losses? Wasn't prepared when Shitron schooled him, and wasn't prepared when Kirkland thrashed him. No, AngulSlow simply isn't very good. Kirkland landed a DEVASTATING left uppercut to the BODY on Angulo in that first round, which badly hurt him, and he was never really the same in that fight after. Kirkland overwhelmed him. It wasn't a case of Angulo being unprepared. He's simply so slow, and ponderous, that he made Kirkland look like Aaron Pryor that night. And when in the HELL did I dispute that Canelo knocks out Kirkland? I simply said that Kirkland will give Canelo a tougher fight. Which he will. He's a better fighter than AngulSlow, which he proved.

I see the Ginger is ONCE AGAIN becoming overrated. Its a damn shame we'll never see Canelo-GGG. It'd be a joy to watch Gennady walk him down, and beat all the red outta his hair.

I agree, Kirkland just overwhelmed Angulo and beat the fight out of him. Plus I thought it was the Cintron fight where he was allegedly underprepared?

And yeah I'd love to watch Gaybox slap the fat legged little Ginger around the ring.

Canelo is a very very good fighter. Just go he dominated by Floyd doesn't mean he is a bum. Floyd makes them look like bums
