    Only two possibilities:

    1. He rebounds and rebuilds. Fires his fraud ass father, and comes back to have success at 140.

    2. He's mentally ruined now that his aura is gone, and he's never the same again.

    Which will it be?

Shocking upset for sure, I had seen Kambosos vs Selby and thought that, while he obviously had some abilities, he was very limited at this level (in fact I felt he lost that fight). Quite glad he pulled it off though as Lopez has rapidly become one of the most annoying figure in the sport. Will be interesting to see how he performs at 140lbs

Fimo needs to return at 140 against a soft touch. A guy known not to be durable. After that confidence booster, maybe a matchup against an Arnold Barboza or Mario Barrios.

He sure as Hell aint ready for a Taylor or Prograis, until he makes significant changes to his corner and his training approach.

I was never that sold on him tbh, he got overhyped basically after making a fast, basic but shrewd start against a smaller, rusty greatish fighter and holding on once the latter adjusted a bit and realised he was losing. The puncturing of the egos of the diehard Loma fans was funny at the time tbf but it wasn't hard to envisage the overstatement of the aftermath.

I was on the other side of the coin to Tin. I was completely sold on Lopez. I thought he was an extremely explosive puncher and showed a high ring IQ against Loma. I thought he'd smash Kambosos, and pretty much everyone else in the division. In hindsight, it really does look like Loma fumbled the ball rather than Teo wrestling it away from him.

I'm still a fan, and I do think he's still a very good fighter. I'd like him to fuck his dad off and start again at 140; but I doubt it's gonna happen. He'll probably amble from promotor to promotor without getting many major fights, then will get frozen out due to being difficult to work with.

Kambosos vs Haney, Stevenson, Loma, Tank or Garcia are all welcome fights IMO.

How Lopez approached this fight was how i thought he would against Lomachenko. Figuring if you're the younger and bigger guy with a lot of firepower just go overwhelm your opponent. Why bother getting technical with a superior technician. Instead he fought very disciplined. Used his jab, height and didn't overcommit with his power shots. Built a nice lead and still had the power to fall back on.

After the biggest win of his career he decides to abandon all of that and rely solely on power.

I don't put too much stock into what fighters say directly after a fight. They're highly emotional and just suffered both a physical and mental assault.

If however he truly believes he actually won the fight (10-2 no less) after getting dropped on his ass and bleeding like a stuck pig he's delusional and it means he isn't likely to change much if anything going forward.

I was very high on Lopez for awhile, but came down to Earth in the past 3-4 months or so. I thought he was a lock over Kambosos and Haney though. I was less confident that he was lock over Davis and Taylor.

He needs to improve, cause he wouldn't have lasted 12 against Davis and Taylor last night.

My thoughts right now are that Stevenson and Ennis are the two best young talents from 130-147. Both seem to be a class above Fimo.

Kambosos beats Garcia, but is an underdog against the rest.

Believing his own hype and a year out of the ring…..Lopez needs to stay active fight at least 2-3x a year even if it’s against scrubs stay active. But to do that he needs to stop believing he should get millions per fight…

Teofimo Sr. says they won't be pursuing a rematch. Says he had son winning 10-2 (LOL) and that Fimo will back at 140 in February with one tune-up, and then straight to the Taylor fight.

First of all, with that bad a cut, Fimo will NOT be back in February. No way in Hell.

I predict that Fimo won't be back until spring. If they wanna do one tune-up and straight to Josh, that's their choice.

But they need to get better people around them for him to challenge Taylor, and even if they do, I'm not sure if even a 100% Lopez wins.

Taylor is a lot bigger, stronger, and meaner than Loma.

Thinking about it, Kambosos is all wrong for Davis. If his chin can withstand Tank's power - and he should be able to, given how he looked vs Gamboa - he should win that.

Davis gets underrated around here. He would knock Kambosos out.

I saw nothing yesterday that says otherwise.

    Tank's power is overrated.

Just basing it off common opposition, Garcia probably hits harder.

I never rated him. But I never thought he would lose to Kambosos. I think he's been a bit exposed.

Needs to get rid of his dad, for sure.

Kambosos seems like a cool cat in the interviews I've seen. Would be funny if he ends up beating all these lightweight Twitter divas.

Lopez can change trainers but the only way that it has a chance of success is if Lopez (or the new trainer, or somebody) kills his father.
Personally I would be surprised if he makes a change.

Wasn't Lopez crying about his father and moving on from his father in some pre fight interview before? I didn't really know how good Lopez was before the fight but I thought Kambosos lost to Lee Selby. Kambosos was solid all round but not anything elite imo. Teo is a little bit predictable at times, jab isn't good at all really either. Hes not a technician. His athleticism and raw talent are his biggest strength in there.

Kambosos will now inevitably become overrated as a result of him previously being underrated. That's what I meant about the Davis thing.

Picture Tank struggling with fuckin Lee Selby.

He fought like a guy who started believing his own press clippings.

He thought Kambosos would fall the first time he hit him flush, so why bother setting anything up?

No jab, no feinting, no use of angles, no body punching, just loading up with every punch hoping for the best.

Was it really that shocking? Teofimo didn't have much of a legacy as an "undisputed" champion. His claim of fame was beating Loma who was overrated himself. In 15 to 30 years will anyone remember lomachenko or Fimo?

You know what hurts him? He doesn't have much of a fanbase like a Ryan Garcia or a country behind him like Pacquio or Canelo. Sure he might have a few black fans for being a wigger like Plant did but that was more to see Canelo lose than actual Plant fans. Fimo is definitely not a draw never will be.

That Black fans crave ignorant fighters?

kambos was punching with teo, something loma wouldn't attempt. add to that kambos' apparently very sturdy chin, and lopez is outmatched. seems like most guys would not have survived that knockdown by lopez. and if kambos had not, we'd be having a much different convo.
