What is it with Pavlik and whites/blacks?

Pavlik is a weird one, he seems to be the only white fighter that is liked by black guys and NOT liked by white racists.

It seems as though all the black guys on the forum apart from Slystaff like Pavlik, especially REED who's genuinely liked the guy for a while.

Then you have guys like Ortho and Tyler that DON'T like him :dunno:

And he is a pretty typical looking white guy.

I like Pavlik and I think most do. But I think most of the hate towards him comes because some are overrating him like crazy. That happens everytime a fighter wins a big fight. They get so much props that some start to turn on him.

Same with Taylor. Even people that hate the guy admit he is a nice guy yet continue to hate on him. :dunno: Just because HBO protected him or because he didn't turn out to be as good as advertised. None of that is his fault.

It's fucked up even in Arkansas they were clowning him. INstead of supporting one of the few things they got to be proud of.

I don't think it has to do with race. I also think the moment Pavlik loses some people are gonna turn on him. yet they are already comparing him to all time greats like Hearns and Hagler. After beating Taylor the same Taylor most hate for being nothing more than average.:dunno:
