How do you like it? What are the pros and cons you like/dislike about it?

I don’t use any subscription music services. For the last twenty years or so I’ve been downloading albums online and using my Ipod to rank and weed out only the songs I like and then store them all together by genre.

I presently have around a 25,000 song music collection I’ve personally put in my own time collecting and weeding through. I only have a few more albums to go through that I’ll hopefully be done with in about 6 months. Then after a little cleanup hopefully I can just sit back and enjoy what I’ve collected.

I plan on skipping out on any new artists and new music unless it’s from some of my most favorite artists.

i use Spotify...it's good but some albums seem to be missing by some artists, which can be annoying - i'm not sure if that's not the case with other services

the plus with spotify is you dont even need to pay if you want to only access podcasts

That’s only with podcasts that aren’t free on other podcast apps. For instance you can’t get JoeRogan on Spotify if you aren’t paying for Spotify.

I used to use Luminary for about a year just to catch the Michael Rapaport podcast but fortunately he recently got off the paywall podcast system so I deleted Luminary and stopped using it completely.

I think Pocket Casts is the best podcast app. You can move all your podcast subscriptions around in any order you like and you can also move all the pods you’ve downloaded into the order you want to listen to them. It’s completely user friendly.

YouTube music. It's probably not as good as Spotify at curating your stuff but it comes bundled with YouTube Premium so no ads. I don't listen to podcasts, just music. It has access to video too so live gigs can be in your playlists.
