    HBO in western Canada is fucking stupid. Since I got here in August every boxing show (other than PPV) has been on two hour tape delay. It's fucking shit, really hampering my Fightbeat on fight night boxing chatter.

    Rios defense is his offense. He's keeps his guard tight and shortening his left hook nicley but is still getting hit a lot.

    Rios still has the better technique and his punches land much cleaner...while every time Alvarado lands...Rios feet are off the ground...

    I don't know what kind of gas tank Alvarado has but this would appear to favor him if the fight goes to later rounds. Surprisingly few body punches thrown so far by either guy.

    Rios throwing a lot but not landing clean....maybe that is the strategy throw a lot but with NOT much power...let Alvarado throw every punch with mean intentions....and will all his power...
