What would've happened had PBF "fought" ODH, as he said he would, instead of pecking him to a decision?

He would've had a better chance of getting knocked out, and the fight would have been more fan-friendly.

If you asked me before the fight, I would've said he would get KTFO. Watching the fight though, it looked like he could've KO'ed Oscar had he thrown some more punches together. Then again, maybe the incoming is why he didn't follow up.

If Floyd thought he would KO Oscar he would have tried. He knew he couldn't so he used the Baldomir game plan.

He would've broke ODLH in half with his brutal bodyshots.

I know he would've been at more risk. I guess I'm asking for people to make the call one way or another, having now seen the fight. Does he still win? Does he get knocked out? Does he knock ODH out (yeah right)?

I think he gets knocked out. And it's one reason I don't fault him as much as some others for not making it exciting. I think he wanted to make it exciting, and would've, had there not been the price to pay. The same was true against Baldomir. Early on, he was much more offensive, and then after about the third round, he made the conscious decision that he had to stink in order to win. The same was true here, although he didn't even really test the waters - he didn't have to. He knew instinctively that to make it exciting, he'd have to take an intolerant amount of risk. So he didn't. I can't really blame him. The only thing we can criticize him for is all of the shit-talking he did and false promises.

Something tells me if there is a rematch he'll be a much more humble figure in the promotions.

So you're asking... if Floyd did Oscar a favour and gave him his only chance what would have happened?

    Weak.

What would have happened if Oscar De La Hoya had "fought" Trinidad on Trinidad's terms in a rematch instead of boxing much more cautiously and disgracefully and moving a hell of a lot more than Mayweather did vs De La Hoya, and then demanding Trinidad fight at a weight he couldnt make for a RE:?

What would have happened had Oscar De la Hoya "fought" Ike Quartey instead of missing jabs and posing inactively for the majority of the fight?

What would have happened if double L had the balls to back up his sure fire prediction that De La Hoya would beat Mayweather by betting real money??

What would have happened if Floyd fought with one arm tied behind his back?

dude. settle down. it's a legitimate question. and to answer your question, regarding ODH and Tito, i think ODH would've been knocked out.

that's my point! people act like PBF had a choice of whether or not to fight like he did on saturday. i'm pointing out that he didn't because if he had, he would've been knocked out. and given that fact, it's pretty tough to criticize him for playing it safe!!!

but your only response is to get all defensive and hurt because you're such a hopeless jock-rider you can't see the forrest for the trees.
