ASSuming Catterall Would Follow Taylor UP to '47 for a RE, That's the Bout He Should Pursue Next, a Good Litmus Test for the Back End of His Career...w/Scrubs Like Rolly Holding a Belt, Taylor is Obviously Still a Title THREAT @ '40...& Once the Spence-Crawford Winner Moves Up and Inevitably Vacates, Taylor Could Conceivably Garner a Welterweight Title... Not LIKELY, But Conceivable... It's Not Time to Consider Retirement or Anything Drastic, But it IS Safe to Say Josh Taylor's Absolute Best Days are BEHIND Him... REED
He had a pretty good 4 year run. Starting from when he burst onto the scene by destroying Ohara Davies, and culminating with the Ramirez win. Certainly won't go down as a junior welterweight great, but a good fighter. From a managerial standpoint, I would steer him to 147 against a fringe guy. TBH, I think he loses to both Catt and Regis in rematches. Well, I ALWAYS thought he would lose a Regis rematch.
He could fight the winner of Rolly-Ryan and he’d be the favorite in that fight I think. A Ramirez rematch is winnable. Broner has made a come back so Josh could fight him in a confidence builder. At 147, maybe he could lure Keith Thurman into a fight. But he's cannon fodder for Crawford, Spence, Boots, Ortiz, and even Stanionis.
