I'm not talking about one's during the summer (like Cotto-Margarito and Abraham-Miranda II).

I mean the one's talked about for the one's in September and later...usually the busiest/best part of the year for big fights.

These are some of the one's discussed (some more likely than others):

    Klitschko-Povetkin
    Peter-Klitschko
    Casamayor-Diaz
    Mayweather-DLH
    Pavlik-Rubio
    Hatton-Malignaggi
    Calzaghe-Jones Jr.
    Vazquez-Marquez IV
    Campbell-Marquez
    Mosley-Mayorga

    You're more interested in Peter-Klitschko than Klitschko-Povetkin?

I found Peter-Maskaev to be almost unwatchable at times the way they slogged around the ring, and there's no telling what condition Vitali is in if he can even make it into the ring.

It will likely - and hopefully - end inside the distance...but does that automatically makes it more interesting to you?

I really like Peter and feel the opposite about Vitali. I'm interested because I want to see Vitali set on his ass.

Vitali's age, injuries and lack of activity is the only reason I'd give Peter a shot...not exactly a selling point for me on the fight.

    Good.

I'd hate to think that I really liked Samuel Peter as a fighter or anticipated watching him fight.

"WHO" & "NEX" R THE ONLY 2 English Words Peter Says w/ANY Degree of CLARITY...

So It's HIGHLY DOUBTFUL he Could Complete the Sentence U Just Wrote...But REED'll Say This, Peter is INFINITELY More Entertaining as a Public Speaker, than he is as a Fighter...As a Fighter, Peter Actually Made Jameel Decline Look CREDIBLE...That's NO Easy Feat...:nono:

U Keep SWEATING REED's Posting Style as if REED ASKED FOR or GIVES a Fuck about your Opinion...

Calzaghe-Jones and Mosley-Mayorga both could be interesting but much too late and the chances of them happening probably aren't great. I also doubt Pavilk-Abraham would happen in 08.

Out of the fights that are at least likely to happen i suppose Campbell-Marquez would be my choice.

Nothing excites me about boxing this year. Any fight I owuld want to see has no chance of getting made.

    Campbell vs Casa
    Mayweather vs Cotto
    Pavlik vs Calzaghe
    Winky vs Forrest
    Pavlik vs Abraham
    Cintron vs Cotto
    Tarver vs Death

I'm pretty close to the same mindset. Some fights that will obviously be exciting like Vazquez-Marquez will never interest me as much as seeing fighters who've never been against each other.

Not sure why'd you want to see Forrest-Wright at this point though. Wright has more left in the tank and is much bigger. Seems like another tedious UD for Winky no matter what weight it would be at.

I'm a Winky fan and I'd like to see him back at 154. In a recent interview it seemed like he was interested in facing the titlists at 154. Or at least Verno Phillips, but I'd rather see him against the best at 154 which is Forrest IMO.

    I pretty much agree.

Cotto-Margarito looks like it will probably end up being the fight I look forward to the most for the rest of the year.

I wouldn't mind seeing Vazquez and Marquez getting a stage like Staples to fight on...hopefully if it's made it's handled right and actually promoted (something both GBP and GSP havent shown they're all that good at...or willing to do) otherwise they could be fighting in front of a lot of empty seats.

I'd like to see Winky in the ring again, but sometimes he's been his own worst enemy when it comes to the business of boxing outside the ring.

Wright-Phillips would get him a title, but doesn't do much outside of that.

I wonder where that fight would even end up as there can't be much interest in it.

I totally agree about Winky being his own worst enemy when it comes to the business of boxing. Sometime it's better to just check your ego at the door and take what you can get. It's those decisions that make things happen in the long run. Winky doesn't have much time left though, he should just fight as often as he can and stay sharp and hope for a big fight. He needs to forget about Oscar though.

Winky vs Phillips would be a decent regular HBO fight and there wouldn't be much interest unless the whole card was stacked. I think he really should get back to 154 if he can though and go out ruling the division.

I think not taking the Taylor rematch was probably his worst mistake.

Maybe not as much as Sergio Mora not taking the Taylor fight () but I agree his ego has cost him.

The Hopkins fight wasn't a good situation for him and left him no where.

Now that Arum controls the middleweight crown, he's got little chance of fighting for it so his best bet is 154 and Phillips would be a start there.

For Winky's sake, I'm glad Arum won't make the Pavlik fight. I really like both guys and I'm 99% sure Winky can't win that fight. If he had any power at all he'd have a shot but he's got nothing that will get Pavlik's respect.

Pavlik even said as much, something to the effect of "After fighting all these big strong guys I'd love to fight a guy like Winky who can't punch"
