Despite everybody shitting on AB lately, I don't think he's some scrub. Not anywhere REMOTELY CLOSE to his hype, and he'll never be "elite", but he's not a bad fighter.

Are there any top guys at 140 you think he can beat?

Crazy as it might sound, I still believe Broner would be a tough fight for Danny Garcia, just based on styles. Garcia doesn't apply non-stop pressure like Maidana, he's more of a methodical counter puncher. I think Broner could be competitive with Garcia, though ultimately, Danny is a better fighter than AB and would win.

Broner vs Peterson could be a good fight, and one that I could see being made. In many ways, I could see that fight going either way.

Matty Ice is a bad fight for Broner, and I doubt we'd ever see Broner take that fight. Matthysse walks Broner down, and separates him from his senses.

I could see Broner beating the mediocre yummy Algeri. But I could also see Algeri being too rangy and mobile for AB, and outboxing him.

Broner vs Crawford is a skill mismatch. TC would dissect AB and beat the shit outta him. Broner would take the same pounding late that Gamboa took.

Broner vs Provo is a bad fight also. As limited as the Rusky is, AB is a stationary fighter, which doesn't bode well for him against Provo.

So basically, Broner's best chances for winning a title are against Peterson, and Algeri.

I pretty much agree with your assessment. He's not a total scrub, he's just a total scrub compared to the hype.

I have to say I would pick every one of your listed fighters over him, but yeah he would have a good chance against Peterdewd and Algieri, who are both average at world level.

Algeri has such a fuckin negative style, that I don't wanna see him fight unless he's taking a beating.

Broner is an annoying POS outside the ring, but in the ring, at least he stands in there and fights.

Broner vs Peterson would be a decent scrap IMO. I believe they're friends also, but if the money is right, I don't see why they wouldn't get it on.

Broner vs Rios makes sense but it probably won't happen.

The worst representation of the black American stereotype vs the worst representation of the Mexican American stereotype. Gotta love that matchup.

BTW - there's a very good chance that Rios loses to Diego Chaves. In which case, he officially becomes a stepping stone.

I find Herrera overrated at the moment. Personally, I thought at BEST he won 5 rounds against Garcia. I fail to see this robbery others saw.

I'd make AB a favorite over Herrera. Not a huge favorite though. If Herrera won, it wouldn't be that big of an upset.

Do you think Broner beats Peterson?

Well we gotta disagree. I think he lost both fights. I think Provo beat him by a relatively clear margin.

But then again, Danny is better than Broner, so yeah Herrera has a shot.
