Not including the close competitive fights (Robinson, Ward) where he took a lot of punishment. Just in these fights, who gave him the worst beating?

It would have been Shane but fortunately for Gatti, the fight got nixed.

It's between Floyd and Gomez, as Gatti didn't win a round against either of them. (I think I gave him one round against Baldomir). I pick Floyd only because he beat a less-shot version of him.

Off topic, but does anybody have a video clip of Gatti's ring entrance for Gatti-Mayweather?? Specifically the part where the fireballs explode right behind him and he gets scared shitless and tries to play it off by shadowboxing:lol:

yeah, but Gatti actually had a few decent moments in that fight. Whereas he didn't have any against Floyd, Gomez and arguably against Baldomir either

That was pretty funny to see, though.

baldomir's the first guy to actually stop gatti while he's down.

he walked through pretty much everything gatti threw and fucked him up badly in the end.

Gatti landed a nice right hand on PBF. Was that a good moment?

No he didn't. But PBF is in this thread so Oscar has no chance of getting any credit here.
    I voted Gomez .

I think you might be on to something. Gatti's plan was to box and move. We all know when you get frightened your muscles tense up. I think that affected Gatti, because he couldn't be loose and fluid.

    that's right. i forgot. ODH's was a mediocre performance. PBF's was a brilliant all-time great performance.

actually, now that I think about it, wasn't it in the wake of PBF's win over Gatti that he became the undisputed P4P king? what a complete fucking joke. he beat Gatti therefore he's the P4P king.

It was because Hopkins lost to Taylor. PBF was #2 before that. His fight with Gatti was 3 weeks before Hops-Taylor I.

Take your pick as to what fighters DLH beat that would have slaughtered Gatti.

Not to mention , now you are gonna tear apart the best resume of any active boxer.
C'mon man , be for real
Even stupid fights like Chavez , just an old Chavez was better then anyone Mayweather ever beat.
Ike would also have pounded anyone Mayweather ever beat.
Camacho would have beaten anyone Mayweather ever beat.
Whitaker would have beaten anyone Mayweather ever beat.
Fuck , fuckin Campas would have beat anyone Mayweather ever beat.
Mosely would have beat anyone Mayweather ever beat.
    The list goes on.
Most of the fighters Oscar has fought would beat up all the guys that Mayweather has victories over.

it actually had more to do w/ Taylor "beating" Hopkins a few weeks later, thereby proclaiming Floyd #1 by default

Yep, and Hopkins more or less became #1 by default, when Roy lost to Tarver, not Hopkins's wins versus Joppy and Allen.
