he is a guy who made his mark (money) in the music biz as a concert promoter i believe.
a chum of HBO's Davis and it is believed he gets all those HBO dates because he somehow filters the money back to davis. finding a recent photo of the guy online might be difficult.

If you want to take the Thomas Hauser course on HBO and Al Haymon, and are up for some reading, you can start by taking a look at a couple articles:

    "HBO: 2008"

    http://www.secondsout.com/columns/thomas-hauser/hbo-2008

The part concerning Haymon begins with...

"Memorandum for Ross Greenburg: HBO 2009"

The part concerning Haymon begins at...

haymon's ties to davis and hbo are obvious, but why does home boys only feel the need to still cater to GBP when the cash cow has clearly retired and will no longer earn them 8 figure paydays?

    vernon forrest's legacy lives on

Well, there was a time when DLH could pull numbers and when HBO was desperate for them, so who knows what was going on between HBO and GBP before the Mayorga fight, the Mayweather fight, and DLH's "three fights in 2008" talk (which was halted at two by Pacquiao).

It's hard to know exactly how much DLH the fighter helped DLH the promoter.

dlh is an important person in boxing. While he probably makes my top 5 of all-time least favorite fighters, he has stayed with the sport that made him rich and has not, as far as I can tell, tried to screw the sport one bit. I can respect that. He has star power and that is something hbo would be (and has been) interested in keeping close ties to for good reason.

What made you think Haymon was all that bad in the first place? No fighter he's managed has ever had a negative word to say about him, character wise.

He's been accused of allowing his guys to cherry pick, which isn't good for the sport, but that doesn't necessarily equate to being downright evil.

DK in his prime gave us great cards, but that doesn't change the fact that King is a sociopath and would never do something like this for a fighter's family. Neither would Arum.

I dont like haymon because he hasn't really done shit for the sport from a fans perspective. He stole a buncha ppls money and is basically the same as king in that regard, minus putting on great fights/cards

I've never denied he has looked out for the fighters best interests
