This 3 physical characteristics have proven to be perhaps the most important in boxing.

Just trying to judge how objective, or agenda-driven people are...

If you think one has 1 advantage and the other 2 just write it on your post.

What if we had chin @147 as well fellas?

Who do you think (based on their performances at Welterweight) has shown a better chin?

Hard to say as for sure.

Floyd doesn't get hit near as much as Manny, and we've seen Floyd rocked good at least once. That could of course be an argument in favor of Pacquiao, but i think that's simplifying things.

Who is bigger, stronger, and feeds on his opponent's aggression with fast counters? Who is the better technician? Who has the bigger boxing IQ?

Pacquaio if not careful can be literally picked apart by Floyd. Look at how many shots he took from Cotto. The right hands that Clottey landed.

If you go by whole careers, then Floyd, if you only go by their fights at 147, then it's Manny

I'm sorry but we are talking about physical characteristics here.

There was a poll done already asking who was bigger.

This one asks about 3 different characteristics.

Please answer the question my friend.

    True.

Either way i don't think it matters. Both guy's beards are sold enough. The fight can go a lot of different ways, but i don't see chin being an important factor in the outcome.

The is the only advantage Pacquaio has and it is OBVIOUS. He hits harder than Floyd.

Floyd is undefeated and has fought southpaws before. He has a pretty good right hand lead. PERFECT for southpaws.

Yep. Roach is going to have to find a way to neutralize Floyd's lead right.

It's incredible how much you underrate your current favorite fighter.

He's clearly the faster boxer, any poll will show it. He clearly has a much better work rate and a very strong argument can be made that he has a better chin (Just think back how he smiled at every punch Cotto landed).

Floyd has some advantages, Pacquiao as well.

Hope we can see it in the ring.

What exactly is the point of this silly thread? I can't keep up with all the subtle agenda driven BS on this board these days.

If you can't just accept the disadvantage inherent in fighting 3 divisions north of your natural weight class then you should just scoop your brain out, throw it into the ocean and return it to the ecosystem.

Pacquaio won't be able to find Floyd as easily as he found Cotto. He could smile all he wants at Floyd. But the latter will still be scoring points.

Look at how much faster Floyd was than speedster Mosley.

Pacquaio has a puncher's chance but Floyd's size should be a deterrant, plus he fought big puncher's before.

.....Imagine if he went back there now?.. Out of interest I'd like to see that,..I'd also like to see a 3rd Marquez fight,.. so we can marvel at Pacquiao's....steady,...natural....improvement,.. bannanas are reportedly, his secret,.. bannana's?.. ..I gotta try that for myself..

Why does it upset you so much (to admit), that PBF is bigger & stronger than Manny?

It doesn't bother me to admit that Floyd is bigger, you can actually check my vote on your thread. It bothers me the the pussyfied stance some of the Pacquiao fans have taken but I think we discussed that point already.

That being said what was your objective, unbiased vote on this thread?

Floyd's always faster when he can anticipate his opponents...which is why sometimes he's more 'faster' than his opponents in the later rounds.

And not sure I'd call Mosley a 'speedster' at this age...certainly not in legs.

Mosley only looked slow because he was fighting Floyd.

And because he wasn't fighting Margarito.

    And it's 2010.

Yup. There's obviously an attempt at insinuating some point here but not one which makes sense.

This question especially cracks me up.

Who has more of an advantage by being a southpaw? Gee, since only one of them is a southpaw I guess I would pick that one.

I'm about to start a thread asking "Which fighter has more of an advantage from being black"

What do think was lame about it REED?
It was a straight forward question.
In what sense is a straight forward question "POSING as an "Objective" Thread"?

That was going to be my follow up post.
I just found REED's wording curious & was looking forward to reading how he would attempt to make sense of his own post.
