For the sake of some moron on another forum, the question is simple:

"Who is the definitive Heavyweight champion of the world?"

I say there isn't one. Wlad has most of the belts but has a history of being wiped out by sludge and, for family reasons, he cannot fight his biggest rival.

Simple test....if Humans from another planet- anthropologically identical, and at the same stage of "boxing" development, were to come here and ask us to send out our Champion to meet theirs, who would you send forward?

Vitali is the man. He'll never be the same boxer, puncher, athlete as his brother. But he'll always be the better fighter, and the better champion. He's the one to beat. If you beat Wlad in the morning, well done, there's a list. Vitali? Not quite the same.

The thing about a champ is this......its not his agility, his motor skills or any of this.

Its his ability to take it, and his desire to dish it out.

Mentally, Vitali is a destroyer. He wants to get the KO.

Wlad is happy to negotiate the obstacle course and come out the far side still alive. His agility and fluidity with Vitali's physicality and mentality is probably the ideal modern heavyweight.

Vitali is looking for the Medals, the Victory Parade. The other fella is trying to get home alive.

The champ is Wlad, and thats not an opinion, but a fact. Vitali has no claim, black and white.

If you mean to ask who the best HW is today, thats been Wlad for several years now. Vitali sucks, frankly (not that Wlad is any kind of ring genius).

The answer is Wlad and it's not open for debate.

if you want to argue who beats who, that's fine and I too would pick Vitali. But in terms if title lineage, Wlad is the champ. Plus he's beaten the better competition (just not in as impressive fashion)

This is correct, if you want to choose one of them it must be Wlad right now.

An argument could be made that there is no hw champion at all since the two best fighters of the division have not fought each other in six years or so (after Wlad returned to the top) and there can only be one champ. Or, you could say that there are two legitimate champions right now. The uniqueness of the situation makes it an unanswerable question

With Wlad's lightning jab, and his Hopkins illegal clinch ability, aswell as his bitch-fighter footwork... :crafty: ...Wlad may well win on cuts...

Thats possible. But here is the thing...Wlad would settle for the win on cuts. Vitali would settle for the win by cat-scan and 72 hour stay in intensive care.

I consider Wlad the champion, although it's certainly debatable, but I believe Vitali to be the best heavyweight on the planet

And Vitali is a stiffened robot with the technique of my sister.

One of my favourite things on this board is the way the technique of boxers pre-1930 precludes them from competing, yet Vitali, who has beaten NOBODY and has the skill and fluidity of a mummy with rigeur mortis is somehow a great fighter. Please. Wlad all day.

Disagree because he could have euthanised the Polish calf well before he got leviated into the cusp of the sick bay, as it happens, 'the good doctor' cradled it's head and squeezed it's claw. Then again,.. I wouldnt put it past the pink drone that he kept in mind the large attendance (even though they were Polish).. given how the cuban bush-rhino rolled over stiff legged and bloated,.. then Vitali acted like the populist mayor that he's sure to become.

Ay ay ay ay :nono: ..in the broader world, Vitali is a pink rednecked piece of shit,... but in Australia, he'd be a 'faaaaaaarkin wog lebanese cunt' ... so, smile on your brother :nono: ..

Vitali is clearly the best heavyweight in the world. I don't really care much about lineage.

Ramone is literally blind when it comes to Vitali. He'd slap Wlad all over the ring. He has sloppy technique, who cares, so did Calzaghe and that didn't stop him from being ridiculously effective.

It's pretty messy as to who has the stronger claim, imo.

Lennox had the stronger claim, but Byrd and Wlad also had titles.
Wlad had the WBO lineage and within Wlad's WBO lineage was Chris Byrd who had Vitali in his lineage.

Wlad lost to Sanders so Sanders now has Wlad's claim.

Lennox retired without tranferring his WBC (and strongest claim).

Vitali beat Sanders for the WBO claim and also picked up the weakest claim--the vacant WBC line.

Wlad beat Byrd to get the IBF lineage. Wlad beat Chagaev to get the WBA lineage.

    They've both fought good competition.

And what does he have in common with Calzaghe...? I know you can get this.
