I think Khan (who obviously wants the fight) is the best possible challenge for him, but it'd be tough for Khan to pull off in September (he'd have to train during Ramadan). I could see Khan giving him a very good fight and building a lead on the cards.. Khan is quick and big, and Floyd is no longer the same guy who fought Judah
I never thought I'd see the day when Khan was being talked of as potentially beating Floyd. Makes sense from a "Money" perspective".
I've been saying for yonks now that Khan is a stylistic nightmare for Floyd. He isn't in the same stratosphere when it comes to talent but sometimes you just get a case like this where the attributes fall in favour of the lesser regarded fighter.
Khan tends to get hurt by single big shots from aggressive come-forward fighters. That doesn't really fit the profile of Mayweather.. at the least, he'd force Floyd out of his comfort zone. I think it'd be a good fight.
Khan is also pretty fearless when it comes to letting his hands go, he's never been one of those guys who is afraid to take risks.
This is the key thing for me too. There's no doubt he believes he can win and that he will force the pace
I'd prefer a cotto rematch. Cotto has a better chance to beat him than khan. Though legitimate drug testing could be problematic for cotto
This is a good fight too. Cotto is really good at cutting off the ring and that bothered Floyd in his first fight. At 160 he has a good chance of beating Floyd, but it's also not an unwinnable fight for Floyd like GGG would be.
I have no interest in another fight, there is no one at 147 and It's unfair to expect him to fight GGG
This is true, he's World Class in terms of heart. It could be he's so stupid that fear cannot enter his thoughts, by way of not having any thoughts, but presuming that all animals know fear, he must have some, and his way of dealing with it is to simply fight on, even when to retreat would be more prudent.
I gotta give him that, yeah. However chinny he may be, he sure does let his hands go, he's certainly not afraid of committing to offense. Significantly more so than today's tepid Pacquiao I reckon.
Agreed, I'd prefer Cotto at 160 than Khan. Sure Khan could shoeshine his way to a couple of early rounds, but he simply doesn't have a realistic chance of winning. Once Floyd gets into his groove and gets used to Khan's range/speed, he'll box the shit out of him.
Garcia is basically a counter puncher and he knocked Khan out. Thing is, Khan ' s latest approach is to hit and then smother, making it more difficult to counter him. But if anyone could pull it off, pbf could.
I refuse to believe that one of the lowest IQ fighters of all time can beat one of the highest IQ fighters of all time. Therefore, I can never see Khan beating Floyd. Floyd doesn't have the speed he once had, but he's still fast enough to consistently nail that retard.
Exactly how I see it. Khan is too dumb and too basic to ever beat Floyd. Floyd could be 45 and he'd still beat Khan.
