Mosely, because he was fast enough to throw more than one left hand, a few times a round...and do it in combinations.
You bring up a very good point. Mosley does throw faster combinations but I have seen Judah throw some punches with blinding speed. I think Judah has the edge with single shots where Mosley has the edge with Combos.
'One punch' punchers are cheaters. I'd guess that if Mosley fought like Judah, he'd look even faster!!!!11 Jones Jr could do and did do both. Thats fast, because he wasn't just about the one shot. Shane's always been a combination puncher and that matters.
To me it seems like Zab has to think about throwing his fast punches or that he has to load up before he throws them. With Shane it seems to just come instantly.
i went Judah....he couldn't put punches together as well, but in terms of throwing the quickest punch....i'd go for him.....thing is, that is pretty much all he has in his arsenal
I'd say Mosley, but its pretty damn close. But had BLAZING fast hands in thier physical primes, but just slightly behind RJ, Camacho, Taylor, and SRL in terms of handspeed.
Yep, and thats why I always say Roy was the fastest ever. Camacho, and Taylor threw blinding fast combinations, but neither one could throw SINGLE shots as fast as Roy. And Roy's combos were EVERY bit as fast as Mel, and Camacho's.
I'm guessing you've never seen what Shane did to Adrian Stone. That was a faster combo than any combo Ive ever seen Zab put together.
Very true, and I wouldnt even say that Zab was a more gifted athlete. I remember when Shane used to blister guys with lead rights, then immediately turn southpaw and rip em with a left cross. Doing stuff like that requires RIDICULOUS athletic ability. And more than that... Shane possesed the type of fluidity, and coordination with his combos that Zab never had.
N Addition to Being FASTER w/his Combo's, Roy Jones was INNOVATIVE w/the Combo's he'd Deliver...The Combo that he Finished Paz w/was UNORTHODOX yet Blazingly Quick... Or the Left Uppercut-Double Left Hooks that Dropped Brannon for the 2nd Time...Or the 5-6 Consecutive Left Hooks that Hurt him Earlier N the Round... Roy's the HANDSPEED "Goat" w/Out Question...Single Shots, "Textbook" Combo's, Unorthodox Combo's, WHATEVER.... REED:cheer:
guess you can sum this up as speed versus quickness. if you want to look at it from a wild, wild west point of view, judah would have been quicker on the draw...thus he gets the edge there. however if this was a target shooting contest to see who could hit the most targets the fastest, shane would get the edge.
Yup. Whether you love Roy, or absolutely hate him... if theres ANY boxing fan that wasnt ever in awe by things Roy could do... they're straight up LYING!
That was poetry in motion, the way he threw the last punch, a left handed uppercut after changing stances.
