    Froch-Taylor unraveling?

Is the camp of WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch may be having second thoughts about facing ex-middleweight champion Jermain Taylor? The Taylor camp has announced that Taylor will fight Froch on April 25 at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING is already onboard to televise the clash. The Froch camp, however, has denied that a deal is done. Froch had previously publicly called out Taylor and proclaimed that “they will need to drag Taylor to the ring kicking and screaming because I don’t think he wants any part of me,â€￾ and offered to come to the U.S. to fight him. Taylor warned over the weekend, “Froch has been running his mouth a lot, now it’s time to shut him up!â€￾

:dunno: So just who will Froch fight?... seeing as how everybody else is too scared..

I'm actually suprised Froch has bitched out,.. I thought he was taking on Jermaine because he was a dumb riot-minded football hooligan who never looks before he leaps, but now with this news, I guess he's not as stupid as he looks and sounds,.. he WILL milk his paper belt for a bit. Sucks for us, but finally Carl realises that he's a scrub on borrowed time.

Alternatively, it may sound like BS from Di Bella and the taylor camp, who may be trying to bully or lowball Froch by pressurising them to accept shitty financial or contractual conditions at the last minute, hoping that showtime accepts a less compelling fight if negotiations are stalled. Its already clear that Froch ain't going to make a great deal defending at home, and he has a finite shelf life, and has stated as much...I really don't think he will bottle anything, it is all he has talked about for the last few years

I'm with you Salaco - Froch has the hunger more so than 99% of the division. He wants Taylor and will beat him.

i agree.....it smacks of poorly diluted PR.....either that, or the usually objective fightnews have it in for Froch

but it is sort of confused BS too......the Taylor camp say the fight is done....if they are saying that as a matter of FACT.....then how can they say Froch trying to worm his way out of it?

Taylor's Always Been CITY Country...It's NOT like he's Ever Lived on a FARM or Anything...Taylor IS "Country", but he's MUCH More of a "City Slicker" than Roy Jones is, for Instance....

I read little snippets of information that,... there's a tractor 'within the vaccinity',.. and that he 'saves expenses on eggs'.. so,...you would have to think it lends some clarity, about the likely distance of that tractor. You can't just keep chickens in suburbia either, not if you want any friends in the neighbourhood, they scream in the morning, they have panicking natures and cluck anxiously for 90% of the day, about as loud as a car alarm, especially together, 1 can set the whole pen off ......so.....:nono:. ...no chickens and tractors ay, when you promised.

I think Reed just wants Roy to be divine in this area aswell as others,...which is why he misled the forum, but we've since discovered that Jermaine does a little farming aswell...what's most damaging to his argument is that....WTF!!!!...Roy doesn't even keep a tractor!?.. ..When 'tractor and chickens' is the benchmark for 'country' ....sure Roy keeps chickens,.. but Jermaine's the only one with a tractor AND chickens so,................ unless Roy can match that,.. he's the fake ass compartment man,.. and if there were such a thing as 'country' boxing champ of the world, Jermaine would be undisputed,.. and Reed can't accept that.

Nah, I was actually looking more for a description of a scenario where Froch wins. Failure to give a sensible account OBVIOUSLY means you are making your prediction based on colour.

    That's right, FARMER.

    Fighting farmer from Nottingham.

I knew he was a fighting farmer all along, what I didn't realise until recently was that he is a fighting-farmer-cum-property-developer.

Reports are that this is now finalized.

Allen Green-Carlos De Leon Jr. is the undercard, according to Boxingtalk.

What's next for Froch?.. he's just lost his paper title,..so who's next for him?.. I'd love to see him face Sakio Bika,.. I think Sakio would ferociously murder his arse.

I'd like to see Froch win... just to see your reaction to your hero getting beat someone you call a scrub.

I doubt Froch wins though. Taylor by decision in what should be a good fight.

I see it as a 60-40 fight in Taylor's favour...

....ultimately i think he is too quick-handed.....Froch relies on a relfex defense and it has been evident as he has stepped up in class that that simply isn't good enough at world level

however, Froch is a big supermiddleweight....and a heavy if not concussiver puncher. I am still not convinced with Taylor down the stretch....Froch's strength could come into it later on....i see a late surge that may result in a late KO....or will not quite be enough.....

    Taylor by close-ish decision

it is a very good fight.....i am fascinated to see how it will play out

Tom ,... if Froch were to pull the greatest upset boxing has ever, ever seen in it's history,.. .. I will most likely be having a bout of 'internet problems' as we call it...

But you know what,.. Id rather Taylor lose to Froch,.. than to ever see him impliment a defensive system consisting of running, turning his back, and excessively thrusting his elbow and forearm into his opponents neck and eyes,.. exploiting the rules by kicking and screaming his way to victory and reminding us all what a loosely regulated, fucked up, corrupt sport boxing truelly is.

It's Taylor - Kessler later this year,.. and Im afraid to say Mikkel will lose his second attempt at unification, and it just doesnt seem fair, for a quality fighter like Mikkel, but, that is the perils that will ultimately come with his loyalty to a perfected, yet extremely limited European style,...hopefully it will influence him to branch out for more pro-skills peripheral to the pro-game, and become as complete a fighter as Calzaghe or Taylor someday,...What is interesting is the speed between the two fighters in this upcoming unification match,.. Taylor is the cheetah, but Mikkel is the springbok,.. Taylor is quicker over a span of 2 to 3 shots,.. Mikkel retains more pace over 4 to 6,.. ultimately it's the 2 to 3 that is the more frequently used dispursal,..and Taylor will use that to his advantage aswell as his superior versatility on the inside and the more natural useage of a broader range of shots,... if I were Jermaine I'd try pressuring Mikkel a bit,..and commiting to the body,.. ..and I think he will,.. and he'll win.. ..and as a result he'll have one of the best resumes in the sport.

Kessler will indeed tear Taylor a new asshole,.. his own,..to hide in,.. Kessler will turn himself inside out like a leech on a stick, when all is said and done, I agree with you.

If Taylor cant beat Pavlik twice, how the hell is gonna beat Kessler? Pavlik is a poor man's Kessler at best.

Pavlik and Kessler are two entirely styled fighters.

With Kessler being way more skilled.

Your right... what I really trying to say is... everything Pavlik does, Kessler does better and THEN some.

Taylor wouldnt see the final bell against Kessler.
