Anderson Silva, Georges St. Pierre & B.J. Penn R All Pretty Much Thought to B UNBEATABLE @ the Weight Classes they Rule Over, but who's MORE Dominant @ their Weight???...Who's LEAST Likely to LOSE @ that Weight???

    REED:dunno:

ps. Obviously, Fedor is MORE Dominant than Any of the 3, which is why REED Purposely EXCLUDED him from this Topic...

Fedor hasn't even fought a significant portion of the current top 10. This is the exact bullshit that starts my senseless ranting, he is the least dominant of the three. And to answer the question, it's BJ Penn, considering he doesn't lose there ever and has beaten anyone worth a damn with the exception of Aoki.

Ummmm, did I miss something? I don't see Fedor even in REED's poll.

I personally think its GSP. I don't think there is another fighter on the planet right now that I don't really think anyone else in the world at that weight has a chance. Jon Fitch is probably the second best WW in the world and it isn't even close. I don't think that when Penn fights or when Silva fights. GSP is just on a different level IMO.

    BJ Penn or Anderson silva

Whatever chance fedor had at "really" being great is gone now...Every fight I watch I can see him slipping, its only a matter of time before he losses to some one he really shouldnt and we forget about him

Hes like the new age version of rickson gracie

GSP is clearly 3rd on this list because he lost to Serra not long ago. I'd have to give BJ a slight edge...and I mean very slight edge...over Anderson, as he has beaten his opponants a little more convincingly than Silva.

I must admit guys, I don't really care that he lost to Serra. Mainly because of what he did to Serra in the rematch. Penn lost Pulver, Silva lost to Takase. A loss doesn't mean as much in MMA simply because of the volitility of the sport. Since that loss to Serra, GSP hasn't lost a single round.

    Youre right

But we are talking overall body of work, at what point has GSP shown to ever be dominant ?

GSP has been incredibly dominant since Serra beat him.

In a sense, the loss to Serra was great for him. He has come back 10 times more focused. He hasn't lost a round sense. Not losing a round to a who's who list in MMA is dominant in my book. Fitch, Penn, Alves

Any argument with you regarding Fedor is senseless because you are biased. Name a HW with more top 10 wins and also take into account never losing.

BTW. The answer in Penn. Both GSP and Silva have been Ruined at their own weight class.

I will qualify this answer by saying that I think Reed means which of the 3 is most dominant at his weight at this moment.

With that in mind, I immediately eliminate Anderson Silva because his last two MW fights were snoozers against Leites and Cote. He defended and clearly won but was not spectacular or amazing.

On the other hand, BJ Penn completely crushed Diego Sanchez with such ease and brutality that it didn't even seem Sanchez was an experienced MMA fighter let alone the top contender in the weight class.

And then there is GSP. He clearly beat both Fitch and Alves, but in my opinion was not as clearly heads-and-shoulders better than either like Penn was with Sanchez and Florian. Don't get me wrong, GSP was never in any real danger in either fight and won in all aspects. But when I think back I don't remember him destroying either guy like Penn did with Diego.

So, in my opinion, BJ Penn has his division on lock down far tighter than Silva or GSP. It's damn close with GSP, but Penn gets the edge.

BJ has beaten the top guys in his division more decisively. Anderson is dominant as well but it has a lot to do with the dearth of talent at 185. GSP is very good but he wins at his game while Penn and Silva have beaten the top guys at their own game.

IMO it's a toss up between BJ and Silva, while I do not see anyone beating GSP. Silva will not be beaten at middle weight and after Penn destroyed Sanchez with with ease, that was huge statement as Sanchez was looking mean at the weight.

As long as all three remain motivated they will all hold onto the strap.
