Who's your favourite US late night talk show host?

Gimme Jimmy Kimmel (honorable mention to David Letterman).

I know Cdogg will say Johnny Carson or some other old timer, but that's cool.

Thoughts?

 

Letterman. He became kind of lame and predictable in his last years, but I watched him more than anybody else. I like Conan, but don't watch him anymore. Fallon is too mediocre. I used to like Colbert & Kimmel A LOT until their shows turned into the daily Trump-bashing propaganda arm of the Left.

Fuck them both.

 

All-Time I go with the 12:30 to 1:30am version of Letterman...........followed closely by Conan when he was in the same time slot.

Big fan of the Comedy Central versions of Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert, but I'll stick with the more traditional hosts of the format for now.

Nobody on right now I really follow.

Conan, Kimmel and Colbert are all good in bits, but I don't watch their entire shows anymore.

 

Used to like Conan (12:30). And liked Letterman as well (12:30). Do not watch anyone anymore.

I can't understand why anyone would like Conan. He's odious.

 

LOL Carson???!! He had jazz musicians as guests a lot which was awesome but outside of that, no thanks

Conan in the 90s and early 2000s was great... lots of insane things

I don't watch tv really anymore so I never see the current crop... I'm a fan of Colbert going back to Strangers With Candy but I haven't seen his show

 

Yeah, Leno was horrible. Quite possibly the most unfunny comedian of all time.

Carson was way better than Leno, but anybody who knows about Carson's life knows that the man was HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE human being. If there's a Hell, he's burning it right now.

 

He's extremely overrated. Not AS bad as Leno, but not really much better. Conan was NEVER EVER funny to me.

 

Jon Stewart was the GOAT. Hilarious, highly intelligent, and insightful.

 

Stewart is definitely quality

 

He intellectually raped Bill O'Klansman.

 

I used to be a big fan of Real Time with Bill Maher, but it's gone to shit in recent years and Bill is no longer funny nor insightful. Now he just whines and tells bad jokes. "I hate Muslims, I love weed, there is no God, Trump sued me." blah, blah, blah, rinse and repeat.

In the Dubya years the show was better.

Bill Maher ain't particularly talented. He's a run-o-the-mill stand-up comedian, and I feel his show used to be better because he probably had better writers back then.

Colbert is a fucking ARTIST ... been brilliant for 20 years

 

A friend of mine has a family member who works for him. I heard he's an asshole.

 

Can we at least agree that NOBODY was worse than Dennis Miller? That guy still alive? I hope not.

Right now Kimmel or Conan.

When I was a teenager I liked Arsenio but I'm not sure if I would have liked him as an adult. (yeah I'm aware he had a short return but I only saw maybe two episodes)

 

I actually really liked Dennis Miller, right up to about 2001.............but he became somewhat of a humorless cunt after 9/11.

I still think he's one of the better SNL Weekend Update Anchors.
