The rematch was close and controversial, they could easily sell tickets and make money in the U.K.. Eubank fought like 5-6 times before losing to Collins. How come this never materialized?
The 2nd fight should have gone to Benn. As I remember, I scored it exactly as Czyz did. I think Benn considered the fight a win, too. But none of this explains why there wasn't a rubber match. And I don't remember there being any public outcry for one, either. Which doesn't make sense as both of their fights were superb. So to answer your query, I don't friggin know.
How come Hagler never fought Hearns again? How come Oscar never fought Shane a third time? How come Mayorga never fought Forrest a third time? How come Zab Judah never fought Spinks a third time? How come......
It was a GOOD decision, because if he beat Traver he would have nearly redeemed himself from his two embarrasing losses. Pity he fought like a PUSSY!
benn retired after he lost to that s. african guy sugar boy malinga. he then later came back and fought collins.
So seeing as how he didn't beat Tarver, came away looking like a shot fighter with no balls, pissed off or at the very least bored everyone who ordered that PPV, and proved that he's no longer elite and/or deserving of any more PPV paydays, is it possible that maybe it wasn't such a GOOD decision afterall? :dunno:
