Don't get me wrong, this is a close fight but some of the few things that bother Mayweather are speed and the southpaw stance. He had trouble with Corley's right hook and speed even though he beat him comfortably, he had trouble with Judah's speed, right hook and left hand too. I think Manny is faster, more accurate and outright better than these two guys. Manny is a nightmare for Floyd. I wasn't completely sold to the idea that Manny was still a force at higher weights before last night, but now I'm a believer.

After giving it some thought, if this fight happens, I'd pick Manny. His southpaw stance, incredible right hook and left hand combined with his tazmanian devil like speed and approach to boxing will lead him to a victory against Floyd. I sincerily hope this fight happens.

Even though Manny is the greater fighter in all-time sense, much more enjoyable to watch and would definitely make a good fight out of it, I can not see him winning unless Floyd has lost much during his retirement.

Against these bigger men Manny's success has been based on countering: both Oscar and Ricky tied to bullrush him, Manny countered an then jumped on. Floyd never gave his opponents a chance to counter and Manny probably could not help himself from getting aggressive, which will open Floyd chances to land himself.

Floyd by surprising ease is still my pick, but damn Manny is a fighter

    I agree 100%.

As brilliant as Marquez he is, he simply doesn't have the style to beat Floyd. Pacquiao does.

The fact that Manny is a southpaw, the fact that he is significantly faster than floyd, and the fact he has pinpoint accuracy and great power is going to get him the win.

    I think he'll actually outbox/outpotshot floyd.

Really depends on how FM looks in his first fight back (Marquez?). Too early to gauge, although I know which guy I'd rather watch fight.

I never thought I would see the day...

.... the day where I wake up on a Sunday morning after a big fight, and honestly believe that Manny Pacquiao is AT LEAST even money with Floyd Mayweather. After Pac/Oscar, it was #1 on my wish list, with Floyd as a clear fave. But now? What a fight.

I've never thrown this out there, and through the ups and downs of the decade I have remained a loyal hardcore fan, but if Mayweather beats Marquez and Pacquiao/Mayweather doesn't happen... it could seriously sour me on the sport.

I've thought for a while that Mannys speed and southpaw stance might give Floyd nightmares, but I had Floyd as favourite. Last night however, makes me think that Manny would win this, he really can, and I would make him favourite for the fight. As MWS said, I can actually see him outboxing Floyd, darting in and out and potshotting, although it would be very very close to call.

If PBF wins or it doesn't happen?

Floyd has no choice. He has to fight either Pac or Cotto. Knowing Floyd, he will take the easier route and fight Cotto and shut hi out.

I'll be shocked if Floyd takes on Pacman.

    Floyd doesn't like real fights.

If it doesn't happen. I wouldn't care who won, I'm a big fan of both guys in the ring.

Floyd will take the bigger money fight which is Manny.

LOL at Floyd being scared. Scared of what exactly. Pac Ko'd a bum Floyd already beat up.

Plus he is fighting the guy Pac went life and death with twice and most people scored the rematch for Marquez. Pac has wanted no part of him since. Floyd can't get no credit on here for nothing.

Pretty much my thoughts all around. A few years ago i still would have been interested in the fight, but would have given Pac zero chance.

Now it's a really intriguing matchup that i can see going either way, although i still have to lean towards Mayweather slightly. That could still change.

It's THE fight to be made in boxing. Nothing even comes remotely close.

Don't start sounding like Caligula when Pac-Hatton was being negotiated. You might be looking real stupid in November/December when this shit is bumped.

Floyd ducked Margarito, Cotto and Pacman all fights that he said he didn't need because he "accomplished it all" by beating a guy who you have said is a bum for years, two of them actually. Most people did not score the rematch for arquez. Like I care what most people think anyway, many here thought Marquez/Pacman I was close when in fact it was a dominant performance by Pacman who was robbed brutally.

Around 80% of the writers ringside scored it for JMM.

How can you duck fighters that havn't even contacted you for a fight. Cotto never offered Floyd a fight. Pacman......wtf man why dom you make shit up. Floyd has never ducked a fight with Manny.

As for Margarito surely you understand fighting De la Hoya means much more then Margarito and with Arums/Oscar's beef at the time Floyd had to get out of that contract.

Difference is, JMM is a little 5'7'' shrimp that will never carry enough power up in weight.

It's been proven now, Manny carries all the speed and power (even more power) up in Floyd's weight class.

Floyd just watched Pac blitz a guy he took 10 rounds to beat. His balls just ascended after that.

Floyd clearly ducked Margarito. There is no question.

Cotto? Not so sure. I'm not positive that fight was ever realistic from either side.

Pacquiao? No way. When did Floyd duck Pacquiao? Pac was a 130lber when Floyd beat Hatton.

Imo, Floyd ducked everyone when he quit and Pacman was considered an opponent even if he was last.
Floyd wanted to move to Welter fight a former 140 in jUDAH, Baldomir and then squeaks out a victory over a faded dlh. It was a bitch move him retiring. We all knew he'd be back in a year. Not only that, I don't want to hear shit about his retirement affecting hi.

Floyd missed one fight the way fighters fight now days.

That's fine. I just don't believe Pacquiao was realistic at all in December of 2007. I know I would have blasted that fight at the time.

It's near impossible to hit Fraud's chin with that illegal shoulder-roll shit,.. the best Pacquioa could do is pop his face square,.. but it wont be concussive,.. Hatton's proven to be defenceless dog shit against southpaws,.. he always had supreme difficulty registering the angle of the southpaw powershot,...what's worse is that pacquioa actually touches your face to line up where the left hand is going to land first, and Hatton still didnt take that as a cue to get your hands up or move your head quick,..I dont think Fraud has the same dyslexia,..and with his right hand stuck to his face at all times inbetween pot shots,.. I think he'll be safe fighting behind a veranda of shoulder, elbow and forearm.

    Fraud by bitch decision.

Gotta call bullshit on everyone who's calling Mayweather-Marquez a bullshit fight and then say Pacquiao would beat Floyd and that he's ducking him. Marquez basically proved himself even with Manny, he's a terrific fighter that Manny hasn't settled down who's the best. Mayweather-Marquez is a great fight and Pac MUST fight the winner, no way around it.

I wont comment on your "illegal shoulder roll" crap.. lol

but I agree... Pac is not going to hit Floyd like he hits Hatton

he landed at will vs Hatton

Floyd would never be caught flush and floyd will counter him and just put on a clinic

Well, Lok yes,... it's pretty hard to argue in favor of breaking the rules as you already know,.. the only thing left to do is snipe at the whistle blower and accuse her of having a racist agenda,... ofcourse when somebody has race on the tip of the tongue so readily,.. it can be an opening of sorts into their personal inhibitions,... my suggestion is that you, 'turn your back' on this issue,..

    Lok yes..:crafty:

Mayweather would put on a boxing class 101.

Too big, too skilled, and too smart for Pacquiao. This isn't Hatton here people.

Floyd is not just going to come in face first running into Pacquiao's powershots.

    Mayweather via UD.

Pacman will beat Floyd. Floyd is an immense fighter though and it will be very close, however Manny will win. I thought Floyd would win before, but now, no. You just have to go with what is right in front of your fucking eyes, Manny is a fucking monster.
