Mexicans are smaller on average than blacks and Whites. Therefore Middleweight tends to be their upper limit and even that is pushing it.
There are big Mexicans and big Asians. I have no idea why it is so rare to have heavyweights of their race. Uncommon makes sense, but not to the extent it is.
There will be Mexican heavyweights in the future. No doubt about it. I mean the whole John Ruiz thing was a bit of a joke but he made it legitimate by sheer force of effort and he ground out a sort of a legacy for "Hispanic" heavyweights. Also there was that guy who nearly killed Joe Frazier at MSG, Manuel Ramos, a non-fat 226lb 6'2" heavyweight. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sKROgsPIw-4?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sKROgsPIw-4?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK! I know that Joe Frazier's 'condition' (black-American-itis) makes it difficult for you to see his punches thudding destructively against an opponent's body and head, but surely Ramos's light skin was being battered by SOMETHING? "Nearly Killed Joe Frazier" now apparantley is considered an acceptable slang phrase for "mildly buzzed Joe Frazier 30 seconds into the fight and then proceeded to get blasted around the ring continuously for every remaining second of the fight while falling three times (two times officially) and quitting in order to avoid possible death" :scratcher: oh, it is so terrible, this white man's burden:Steve-Dave/MMA:
