His girl filed a restraining order against him. Says Wilder has been abusing her for the last 6 years. She filed it 2 days after the Zhang loss. Makes sense to me. I bet Wilder was taking his frustration over being washed up out on her.

I'm not in the habit of ALWAYS believing the woman, because they fucking lie a lot, but in this case it's believable.

Of course all the Wilder fanboys on social media are defending their hero with all that "we don't know the full story" bullshit. Nah man, I know.

Again, I'm not the type to ALWAYS believe the woman, because they do often lie. I myself have had "woman beater" lies told on me, when I've never so much as laid a finger on ole girl, so I get it.

However, when you hear woman beater accusations against a cat like Wilder, and everything we know about his personality... I'm inclined to believe they're accurate.

Her timing is a bit suspect, yes, she waited until she KNEW his career was over to come forward. But the timing also makes some sense to me, because he's likely taking the rage/depression of these losses out on her.

I hear you and do agree that some women flat out lie. But taking her side It's not about always believing the woman blindly... it's about recognizing the systemic barriers that often prevent women from speaking out. The timing of her allegations, while a bit "suspect" to some could very well align with her feeling that its safe enough to come forward only after his career is in tatters, when his influence and power to retaliate might be limited. But dismissing her story outright contributes to a culture of silence and fear that many women already face. Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water just because you had a bad experience with a woman who falsely accused you.
