Chavez was a man , Benitez was a boy.

 

Benitez was a boy who schooled Cervantes, who was arguably better at 140 than Chavez. Benitez outboxes Chavez. Age wouldnt be a factor. Benitez was a better skilled, more elusive, and overall better version of Mel Taylor.

 

He never fought anyone like Chavez at 140 ... I really think Chavez would get to him and break him down.

 

who in the hell would argue that Cervantes was better than Chavez? i sure's hell wouldn't.

plus, they're two very different fighters. Cervantes was a lot slower, especially on his feet than Chavez.

i go with Chavez by decision in this one.

Theres nothing to suggest Chavez was clearly superior at 140 than Cervantes. You ever seen Cervantes? Watch how he dominated De Jesus.

 

I would slightly favor Benitez over Julio @ 140 based upon styles.

However i would favor Chavez against Cervantes. Either way i don't see how Cervantes stops Chavez. :nono:

 

I don't see how Cervantes would stop Chavez....but he'd beat him and so would Benitez. Chavez @ 140 wasn't all that hot.
