Thomas Miller gave the last three rounds to Margarito...criminal, IMO.

I also think scoring 8 of the first 9 for Williams is borderline criminal.

This scorecard should be remembered the next time he scores a major bout.

    Margarito came up just short!
    By Francisco Salazar
After losing five of the first six rounds on the scorecards of Marty Sammon and David Mendoza and all six rounds on the card of Thomas Miller, defending WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito rallied down the stretch and had a chance to salvage his title with a draw against Paul Williams on the cards of Sammon and Mendoza entering the final round. However, both Sammon and Mendoza awarded the twelfth round to Williams giving "The Punisher" a 115-113 win on their cards. Miller, who scored eight of the first nine rounds for Williams, gave Margarito the last three stanzas on his 116-112 card.

I had it 115-113 for Williams.

Miller probably just gave the 12th to Margarito to make it look closer. The 12th was clear for Paul and having Williams ahead 89-82 after 9 is

I agree, I had the same scorecard and round 12 was clearly a make up round.

It's absolutely atrocious a judge could be that far off in a championship fight.

Shades of De La Hoya/Trinidad on that card for sure.

At least the right guy got the decision.

Margarito won 3 of the first 5 rounds on my card. A lot of William's shots were indeed blocked. And lots of times, he'd land 1-2 clean shots the whole round. And all HBO kept talking about was how many punches Williams was throwing. Since when does that matter for shit?

And as early as round 2 Williams was holding everytime Margarito got close.

It was a close fight, and a high workrate is a component of aggression, so I don't have a problem with Williams edging out the win,...

    but this sort've stuff:...

"Bye Bye Tony!"...."Williams fucken kicked his arse!"..."Where's dat Floyd hatin bitch at!"..."I never was impressed with Margarito bandwagon!"

Is just an exhale of deep seeded pain inflicted mid last year, and has now manifested into rapid cries, bazerk and compulsive, with what they percieve as avenue that's openned up, allowing them to sob helplessly over the macabre sight of Fraud's fear.

    :crafty: Poor souls.

    Not True @ All:nono: ...

Williams Landed COUNTLESS #'s of Uppercuts from Close Range...& even when they Did Clinch, ALOT of Times,Williams Kept him Left Hand FREE & Used his FREAKISHLY Looooooooooooooong Arms to Come Up UNDER his OWN Right Arm (his Clinched Arm)& Hit Margarito N the Head w/it...

REED's NEVER Seen a Guy Reach Across HIS OWN Body & Hit his Opponent on the FAR Side of his Head, while N a Clinch:lol: ...

:bears: Exactly. The Floyd dick riders were always scared sh*tless. It's a major weight off their backs now that Margarito is temporarily out of the picture. Hell Paul Williams had to go and do what their chicken hero was terrified of doing(or attempting to).

F*cking right I am, dsimon. Am I not objective on Floyd when I say that the f*cker is scared sh*tless of meeting a real fighter, rather than feasting on crap like Gatti, Mitchell, and an inactive 35 year old De La Hoya?

REED IS Objective when it Comes to Floyd...

    Case in Point...

Floyd's Retirement is BULLSHIT...If he Insists on a RE w/DeLa,he's CHEATING the Public...His WIN Over DeLa was Quite Possibly THE Most Disappointing Big Fight Victory EVER...

& if he NEGLECTS to Fight Shane,Cotto,Hatton,Williams (@ Least 3 of those Guys,Especially while they're Undefeated),U'll See some Genuine Floyd BASHING from REED...

REED was Calling Floyd "THE Welterweight Champ" Pre-Baldomir,Because REED KNEW that Baldomir Presented Very Little Challenge to Floyd....

Call it a Moment of CLAIRVOYANCE...
