Ive never seen a fighter who gets his ass kicked as much as Judah, yet continues to talk shit, EXCEPT for Mayorga. I cant read the full interview cause I'm not a boxtalk member(fuck paying for membership) but I saw the headline. He's talking on Boxtalk that he would make Cintron cry again. If Tszyu's right hand could stop Zab, Cintron's might literally kill him. Also said he's coming for Cotto, and Mosley.:: What more can he get from Cotto, except more ass whuppin? And Shane would assault him. I'm tellin ya, Mayorga should just drop back down to 147 and fight Judah. The two biggest shit talkers in the sport who NEVER back up what they say in the ring. Lets see that fight. Fuckin clowns!
James Toney will catch up with him in some time. Toney's basically a shot fighter, so he'll continue to lose or fight like crap, and continue to talk trash about how everyone else is a bum and he's the best.
Why on earth should Zab give up ?? He's the former undisputed welterweight champion of the world, he has solid wins over Corey Stinks, Demarcus Corley, Junior Witter, and he gave the universally recognized p4p champion arguaby the toughest fight of his career, sending him unofficially to the canvas, and stunning/hurting him several times. He gave Cotto a good fight, and can compete at a top 10 level for at least a few more years, possibly winning another championship. And he's exciting to watch.
Castillo gave Floyd a WAYYYYY toughter fight and didnt have to rack his balls to do it, Zab started fast and bitched out late, the story of his career but he did try against Cotto but that type of beating ruins fighters and I wouldnt want him to go out like that even though I am not a big fan.
I honestly think Zab would fight Mayorga in replace of Vargas if they called himopcorn: Zab shouldn't give it up, he should fight Clottey on the undercard of Paulie's next fight in the garden. It would definitely be a fan friendly fight to watch:cheer: As far as him talking shit. He hasn't backed it up in years so it is what it is:shit:
dsimon writes: You are quite the revisionist my friend. Dimapimpel can argue points like this occasionally to great effect granted but your going to have to do better than that. 1) He fought Floyd competatively the first few rounds then was getting beat so bad he was looking for a way out. 2) Cotto beat the living shit out of Zab before depositing him on the ground in a screaming heap of pain. Zab is a solid opponent to get by for guys coming up. That is what he can do.
WHAT ELSE Can Zab Do???:dunno: ... For Better or Worse,BOXING is All he Knows...It's NOT like he has a Future N COMMENTATING or BUSINESS... REED
jup - he better boxes as long as he can and tries to become a trainer after that, because if not his future is in jail. Maybe he can even do both.
That's why I said 'arguably' I actually agree that Castillo gave Floyd a slightly tougher fight.. BUT some people think Judah did.. probably based on the fact that he knocked him down.
If Zab wants to be a serious contender again he needs to fight some no-hopers and build his confidence back up, because he just went in the ring and laid down for Cotto.
Just read the whole interview, Judah's so delusional it ain't even funny. He's talking about how focused he is and how he's going to beat the "chump" he's fighting in Sept. Talking about how he's a new focused Judah. So don't you guys get him confused with the "new focused" Judah who fought Floyd, or the "new focused" Judah who fought Cotto. This is a different "new focused" Judah coming into this fight. No really! Anyway, whoever the guy that's fighting Judah is, I hope he has heart because he has a great oppurtunity to upset a heartless punk who's lost his confidence. Somebody mentioned Mayorga fighting Judah and I have to say that's a pick em because I honestly couldn't tell you who sucks more. They could call that fight No Heart vs No Skills.
It's Edwin Vazquez, who isn't very good at all. His KO to win ratio is a bit deceptive, as he can punch, but probably just enough to at best get Zab's attention. But he has crappy defense, and an even crappier chin. The best I can say about him is that he's better than Ruben Galvan. But I wouldn't exactly run to the bookies in search of an upset. Still, it's Zab.
Yeah, too bad it isn't in the record books, though. That knock down is kind of like Zabs tough guy image, it's there but it's not really authentic. ::
The real question is does he have heart, toughness, and the confidence to stay in there and give his all, because if he has those intangibles he has a shot.
