    This was on BoxingScene.

The opponent appears to be fodder...he's lost to Vanes Martirosyan and Joey Gilbert.

Mark Vester writes that Wright still has a date planned on HBO, but it's been pushed back from January to February/March.

Damn, Versus is getting busy. That will make 5 cards in less than 3 months - and also means they're going back to back Thursdays in December.

wouldnt be surprised if this fight lands in vegas (2 days before oscar vs. pac), possibly in orleans casino or palms.

Poor Winky, with all the possible matches he could have had since he last fought he's now ending up on versus fighting some loser. Maybe he'll reassess his mrket value for future negotiations. I'm sure he's making jack shit for this fight.

I doubt it. He's lucky he's made what he has. Both Shane and Tito could have avoided him and not even taken much criticism for it. Yet he still thinks he's in a place to negotiate.

Even a lot of boxing fans who appreciate skills don't exactly get excited when's he's fighting.

    You're right

I liked his fights against big names, just because I wanted to see him getting his chance to prove himself. He was the perennial underdog/obscure champ that nobody wanted to deal with. Both because he was very good and he didn't offered any monetary reward. But his style is somewhat predictable and boring. I really hope he can fight Abraham and then retire.

Abraham and Winky would be a good fight. Since it looks like Pavlik will be on the rehab trail for a few fights, this is a fight that should definitely be made. Abraham will be due to face a live body after he thrashes Marquez.

Pavlik is fighting his mandatory next. Just so happens it is the equivalent of a rehab fight. Why do you think he's on the 'rehab trail for a few fights'?

Exactly. So I suspect after Pavlik destroys Rubio, the Duddy negotiations will resurface.

should duddy escape unscathed in his next fight, i think he's lined up to fight ronald hearns on showtime.

i'd like to see pavlik vs. winky sometime early next year.

    Adamek-Cunningham is a quality fight.

and my post is exactly as it says - Versus is getting busy (though the Dec 4 show falling through doesn't help much). It shows the intention to serve as more than an occasional contributor to the sport.
