It's a fight I'd like to see. It definitely needs to be made and it might give boxing a tiny spark which it desperately needs. Thanks to David Haye for bringing attention to himself and the heavyweight division as a whole. He's gotten a lot of people talking from his antics. The shirt he wore, although very poor in taste, got the Klitschkos angry.
This was Wlad's answer to Povetkin's request to undertake mutual WADA drug testing,...:crafty::crafty:
I think this may be the fight where we see Klit come out of his safety first shell and become the offensive powerhouse that he has the potential to become. He genuinely does not like Haye and wants to hurt him. Hopefully his desire to do so outweighs his desire to stay upright. Either way he wins.
Wlad will beat Haye down and stop him. People will then say Haye was nothing but Hype and Wlad is picking on a former cruiserweight. Anybody caliming Haye has a chance better not back track when he gets destroyed.
I like haye but don't think he can beat either klitschko. However, for all the criticism he received for backing out of the Klitschko fights, I would credit him for taking the correct route, gaining championship experience against two world class contenders, and significantly strengthening his bargaining position with either of them - surely he won't be at the same disadvantage with respect to terms as he was first time round
Haye's Team Fire Back at Klitschko, Talks To Begin By Mark Vester WBA heavyweight champion David Haye got the message loud and clear on Monday. IBO/WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko issued a press release video where he dared the British fighter to accept his challenge. Haye's manager Adam Booth plans to begin immediate negotiations for the fight. "It's funny that Wladimir says 'on behalf of the boxing fans'," said Booth on Sky Sports News. "Maybe on behalf of the boxing fans Wladimir can sort out with his brother which one is world champion. Maybe they can have a scrap first. It can be in their back garden for all I care, the mum can referee, but just sort out which one is better. "The winner can fight David. If they don't want to have a scrap, maybe one brother can give the other his belt so David can unify this mess in one punch. Wladimir seems to want the fight now, which is fantastic. If he genuinely wants the fight, the ball's in our court and that's where we like it." Booth plans to discuss the unification bout with Klitschko's business agent Shelly Finkel in the coming days. One fighter who is not, and never was on their radar, is EBU champion Audley Harrison. "The last talk we had with the Klitschko brothers was regarding Vitali because the WBC and WBA are the two major titles are far as we're concerned. Vital holds the most significant belt in our eyes," Booth said. "I had a call from their adviser last week just after David's win [over John Ruiz] and we agreed we would speak this Wednesday, but obviously Wladimir couldn't wait that long. Over the next couple of days we'll be looking at what direction David is going. If that involves a Klitschko, I'll give Shelley Finkel a call. We're not far away, that's for sure." "Audley's not on our radar. He's never boxed anybody in the world top 20. In David's last 16 fights, he's fought 11 fighters ranked in the top 15. As far as David's legacy is concerned, with respect to being the best fighter he can be and facing the best opponents, I don't think he gets anything out of fighting Audley." :boohoo: Prepare the bitch mobile...
They must've finally flipped that coin then. We'll know how much either of the Klitschkos want the fight when details of the negotiations emerge....last time they wanted to enslave Haye. It'll happen, it's got to...and i'm glad it is Wlad...i think it'll make for a more exciting fight. Booth will talk about other options because he doesn't want to give up any negotiating ground.
Now he's enslaved to Sauerland, fighting weaker opposition, hooray for boxing fans. He delivered on his promise,.. "I'm here to save the world from white Ivan drago eastern european robots" ...ha ha ha ha "how charismatic!" :crafty:
Sauerland will get their slice from a Klitschko fight....It is possible that they suddenly play hard-ball and things get a little messy, but i think they are just pleased to be on the bandwagon. Kalle hardly looked upset as Haye celebrated in Nuremburg last year. ....as for fighting weaker opposition...we'll see, i don't think Valuev or Ruiz are necessarily weaker opponents than what the Klitschkos have faced recently...look at Vitali's next fight. It's a weak division....if Haye doesn't wind-up fighting a Klitschko then he isn't gonna find an equivalent...and vice-versa. It'll happen....it is like europe's Floyd-Pacquaio....i just hope David doesn't jeopardise things by insisting on olympic style drug testing :stir:
Valuev and Ruiz are vastly inferior opponents to the Klitschko's, this is what the refreshing heavyweight saviour was all about wasn't he?.. he told us how badly he wanted to do a service for the boxing fans by 'getting rid of them' ,.. to this day he continues to say it, press release after press release,.. pops straight up after another Klitschko domination and talks shit about thier victory, the game should really be well and truelly up now,.. it's time for the fraud, with all of Britain behind him far away from his cyprus home, with a belt that already belongs to Wlad, to stop the cheap ankle-nipping bitchyness, and prove he's not just another protected little revenue generator,.... there's nothing worse, than a cowardly version of Jim Jeffries with a global legion of groupies on one hand baying for blood, but on the otherhand pampering his self serving dictatorship. I wouldn't worry about Haye asking for Wada standard drug testing,.. considering Haye's press vigilance, if he were clean he would have taken advantage of Povetkin's proposition by now,.. headline,... Haye: "The Klitschko's are drug cheats" ...but not a word?...not a word on that,.. :crafty:.
Really? You think Haye is small enough to make him do that? I'm not too sure myself. Anyway I'm glad it's Wlad he's fighting where he kind of has a slim to none chance of winning as opposed to fighting Vitali where he just has no chance.
Please Kauk. I'm practically a fan of Vitali, I've always admired his toughness and ability. However, Wlad has fought like a safety first pussy and the fact that you're ignoring that whilst calling out Hopkins and Floyd for similar such styles is very biased. Do you care to explain?
If Wlad fights controlled, he would absolutely BRUTALIZE Haye. Prettyboy haye would leave the ring on a stretcher looking like James Toney. But if Wlad comes into the ring overconfident and thinking that he'd just blast the smaller man outta there...he'll give Haye his only chance of scoring the upset.
