Last night may be tough to top for me......... First off..........I , along with 94% of you, KNEW this was going to be a STINKER! Second off......I ordered it only in time for the MAin Event........it is rumored that there were 2 good under card performances Thirdly(is that a word).......I dozed off for 2-3 rds.........thats why I ordered it......too tired to make the 20 minute drive to the sports bar at 11 pm ish........ WHo comes up with this 49.99 bullshit????? Lampley was disgusted
Harpinder and his boys ordered Tyson/Seldon in their apartment back in '96. When the fight was over, it became chaos in the apartment. Guys lost their minds from alcohol and rage due to the fight being a total fix, and girls got raped, one dude got stabbed, and another guy lost his eye from getting hit with a firepoker. I was outta that place in time. That's what you got from Tyson's piece of sh*t ppv fights. Amazing how he suckered people of their money time and time again. ::
Worst 1 REED Ordered was Tyson-Seldon...Back then, "Unification" Fights were Actually MEANINGFUL,yet Seldon did EVERYTHING he Could to SHIT on the Importance of Unifying a Title... That BIG,MUSCLEBOUND Motherfucker LITERALLY Took a DIVE,the Instant Tyson Got Close to him...THEN,Seldon FAKED Being Wobbly Legged,to INSURE the Ref STOPPED the Fight... REED
Oh yeah, Tyson/McNeely, Tyson/Holyfield II, Tyson/Francis, Tyson/Norris, Tyson/Savarese were all dogsh*t fights! Every fight ended with hundreds of enraged fans chanting either "Bullshit....Bullshit...." or "Fixed.....Fixed....." :: It's funny also that Tyson's final fight of his professional career sees him getting hit in the head with beer during his exit after quitting against McBride and Tyson does a big "F*ck You" as he leaves. That was a fitting ending.
It's not like you didn't see it coming. There were only 2 scenarios. Tyson either lands a lucky punch or Lewis beats the piss out of him.:: Tyson was overhyped, that fight was a farce but it was the biggest fight ever in the history of internet boxing forums. That fight got buzz like no fight ever has.
Barrera/Kelley - I still can't remember why I ordered this shit. It pissed me off even more when Larry Merchant interviewed Kelley before the fight in his dressing room while he was picking out the color of laces for his shoes. fucking faggot got his ass whooped by Barrera and gave a thousand excuses. "I beat myself tonight" :kick: The undercard was horrible too. I seriously can't remember why I thought that would be a good card.:dunno:
I paid $30 for Byrd/Klitschko II last year on a Saturday afternoon I was spending with my dad. We just couldn't sit there knowing it was happening... there wasn't an undercard. ::
That Wasn't a Bad Show... Ann Wolfe Avenged her Only Loss to Valerie Mahfood...That was a Very Entertaining Fight...& Laila Beat the Living Shit Out of Christy Martin... REED
Even though I had an illegal hook up at the time and paid a sweet fuck all for it there can still only be one answer : Lewis-Tua. May they both rott in hell for subjecting me to that shit.
As though there was any real suspense, Ali's a big super middleweight and Martin's spent most of her career at welterweight or below.
At least the undercard bout was exciting. The worst I've ordered is (*hangs head in shame*) Tyson-McBride.
probably the worst one i ever bought was julio diaz vs. ricky quiles. absolutely useless. also, briggs/ibragimov was pretty fkn bad. saturday's wasn't all that bad considering the under-card turned out to be pretty damn good. especially the katsidis fight.
So you were the one who ordered those Warrior's Boxing ppv shows. Btw, didn't Diaz-Quiles have Tokarev-Cora on the undercard? If so, it wasn't all bad.
This is the shit that's been killin me. I can't stand the PPV bullshit. 50 fucking bucks for Hopkins-Wright??? :flip: $30, and I would have gotten it. Wasn't there a fight that was $60??? Makes me sick... I did order the Roy Jones Jr fight, and it's was worth it :bears:
Yeah, I ordered that too, what a waste of money... I'm ashamed to admit it but by some mysterious way, I succeeded in convincing myself that Kelley would give a good fight to Barrera... That and seeing another atrocious fight from Gainer made me boycott pay per views for a while...
MAB-Morales II-God what a waste. Really, how did anybody think that fight was enjoyable at all?? Toney-Holyfield Gatti-Mayweather-Just pure stupidity on my part, but was the last PPV I ever ordered:bears:In fact, this was the fight that made me turn my way's toward PPV!!
Riddick Bowe vs Bruce Seldon with Bobby Czyz vs Bashiru Ali as the only other fight on the broadcast. The next day I went out and bought a black box. TFK
