Yup, it's true. And unfortunately, because of his role in the movie, the Rampage\Evans fight at UFC 107 has been cancelled. http://mmajunkie.com/news/16119/ras...-bout-with-quinton-rampage-jackson-is-off.mma TFK
I can see both sides....i feel for Rashad, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Rampage....if it means that he fights Rashad a couple of months later, then in the big scheme of things, it is not that big a deal. This news hasn't come out of the blue either, they'd have known about the possibility when scheduling the fight. I remember first reading about Rampage playing BA well over a year ago
Of course you take the easy money. It's not even debateable. And they can fight at a different, later ufc.
Good for Rampage, like BTG said its nice to have something else to fall back on. Rampage isn't your typical meathead fighter. He is extremely intelligent, funny, and articulate. He won't be fighting too much longer, he will have many more options than say Keith Jardine. The biggest thing here is why don't they have someone to step in or another fight to slide in? You could easily make the Penn/Sanchez the main event and put in a top contender fight right beneath them.
Selfishly, it sucks for me and all UFC fans that this fight has been postponed, but I'm happy for Rampage and I don't blame him in the least. I imagine they didn't sub a new fighter in for Rampage because the filming shouldn't last all that long, and they may be able to get the fight in before summer. I hope anyway. TFK
thats a good point, I hope its right. After Lyoto fights Shogun, I really want to see him in against Rampage. Not 3 years from now.
