JZ Calvalcante did what he had to do. He backed up Tyson Griffin consistently and peppered him with shots while also eating some himself. He got Griffin down and stretched his hips out so he couldn't go anywhere. He was hitting him over and over again, but the shots weren't devastating. Griffin wasn't defending or improving his position so they stopped it. I would have let it go a bit longer, but Griffin was pretty much helpless and couldn't do anything.

Ray Sefo was battered into submission by a guy who reminds me of Paul Buentello---Dave Huckaba, a standup boxer who throws the occasional leg kick. Sefo was winning the kicking battle bigtime and at least even in terms of punches, but he got zapped by a counter left hook when he threw a right roundhouse kick. The followup barrage was relentless and Dave Huckaba was the winner by stoppage, landing a number of lefts and rights to a non-responsive Sefo.

Nick Newell fought an interesting fight for a guy who has 1.75 arms. He managed to choke out his opponent, and his left arm stops about mid-forearm with what looks like a bone sticking out through the skin. One of the weirdest things I've seen. He can't wear a glove on it, but he could use it to lock in a sub.

Tyrone Spong won his fight, but what wasn't expected was that his opponent could take that kind of ass-kicking. Angel DeAnda took a hammering. He must have been dropped at least 10 times from leg kicks, but he wasn't buzzed and kept throwing enough back to keep Spong somewhat honest.

The Marlon Moraes fight was kind of dull even though he and his opponent were very fast.

agreed on nearly every cout. But the Nick Newell fight seemd fishy big time to me. Would need to see more of him to be sure but as of now, I think the fight was fixed.

I rarely think fights are fixed but Newell's opponent acted very strange.

I've been waiting for the replay of WSOF 3 and didn't even know WSOF 4 was coming up.

Fightnews is a shitty UFC whore when it comes to mma. It really should be called BoxingandUFCnews.com

There finally is a replay of WSOF 3 (and 4) coming up, btw.

Agree about Fightnews. You'll never see any upcoming cards if their not UFC.

I thought Tyson Griffin was gonna be a star. He looked really good on his way up, and even looked good in losing to Edgar in a great fight. After that, it all fell apart for him.

Wasn't Huerta on the cover of Sports Illustrated way back?

    That's a pretty big fall.
