Shows that Zab still values his career.

He should fight Berto. Thats a winnable fight for Zab.

So who's Phony gonna fight now? Cintron? Or is Kermit gonna be forced to fight Clottey?

Phony will probably just sit out and wait for Cotto to dispose of Gomez, thus setting up thier July showdown.

Still values his career? Dude has one significant win and a bunch of significant losses. The fact that he thinks he should be considered for big money is absolutely disgusting. And if I see him headlining another PPV I'm gonna vomit. How the fukk does he keep losing and going right back to first in line?

Values his career in the sense that he knows Margarita woulda ended whats left in his career. Zab needs to take on a few more beatable opponents, like a Berto or Collazo, before facing a Margarita calibre.

How Do U Figure, Brother X???:dunno:

Zab Needs a WIN Over a CURRENT Contender...Instead, U Want him to Play Welterweight GATEKEEPER???...

    Isn't Margarito a "Winnable Fight"???....

i'd much rather see judah vs cintron. cintron might knock his head off, but i can see judah outboxing him then later knocking him out.

as for margarito i only care to see him vs. either cotto or williams in a rematch.

Hell no Margarita's not a winnable fight for Zab! Phony would slaughter him. Zab's only chance would be to wack Margarita out early, and that wont happen considering how good Phony's chin is.

Zab needs to beat a credible contender such as a Julio, Berto, or Collazo to set him up for bigger fights. Those guys are "winnable" fights for Zab. After that he'd be in line for another high profile fight. I could see Shane fighting Zab sometime this year actually.

    SURE it Is...

Zab's Been COMPETITIVE w/Cotto, Floyd & Tszyu...ALL of those Guys R HIGHER Caliber Fighters than Margarito...

Margarito's Probably THE MOST Overrated Fighter of the Last 3-5 Years...REED Could See Zab EASILY Builiding an EARLY Lead, then ESCAPING w/a Close Decision...

Phony is nothing special, but his rough and tough style is a nightmare for Zab. But Phony will still get whats coming to him in July when Cotto stomps a hole in him!:bears:

zab was comeptitive in spurts against cotto. but for the most part, he got beaten the fuck up.

he'll stun margarito at the early going, but will get flattened one margarito starts to open up.

i think it won't last past the 5th round.

Looooooooooong Ago, REED Gave Up on Zab Judah...

REED's Opinion ISN'T Based on how "Good" Zab is, but How Undeniably AVERAGE Margarito Is...

Zab's SPEED, POWER & Southpaw Stance would Pose SERIOUS Problems 4 Margarito Early...Predictably, Zab's LACK of Ringsmarts will Play a Role as the Fight Progresses, but REED Thinks he will have Built Up Enough EARLY Rounds to Win a Decision...

Oh Well, it's a MOOTfuckingPOINT Since Zab Turned Down the Fight...Instead, he's Gonna End Up LOSING to a Lesser Ranked Fighter...

Competitive with Tszyu? Yeah, he won the first round, but that may be the most over-rated round since Terry Norris won the first against Julian Jackson.

He had 2-3 good rounds against both Cotto and Floyd...stunned Cotto and knocked down Mayweather...but he faded and was knocked out by one late, and I think he might well have been headed in that direction against Mayweather...he also faded very badly against Baldomir as well (who I certainly wouldnt consider a "HIGHER Caliber" than Margarito).

That depends.... Zab has two ways he can play it. I used to ridicule him but the Spaz is a good gatekeeper, a good measure of anyone who wants to walk among the elites. He still has his faculties and is always a tough fight. He can pop and still catch those unaware with his power in the early rounds at least.

On the other hand, as you have stated, Zab could try to actually make a comeback and be competative.... I don't know. I don't see it but I could be wrong on this, easily.... the guy is one of the most naturally talented fighters.

He could fight smart and work his way up slowly. I could see him at his best being more than mere fodder for a guy like Margarito.

One thing is certain, no way he gets by Margarito right now. To be a challenge to Margarito he would need to get his confidance back and fight a few cuteys for more than a few rounds. Damn! Now would have been a perfect fight for Spinks. Then maybe Cintron....

    YES, "Competitive w/Tszyu"...

Sure, Zab was KO'ed in the 2nd, but he DOMINATED Round 1...If U DOMINATED Half of a Fight, Isn't that "Competitive"???...It's NOT like Tszyu Whipped Zab EVERY Minute of Both Rounds...

Your 2nd Paragraph BOLSTERED REED's Point about Zab Being Competitive w/Cotto & Floyd...

The POINT is, All 3 of those Cats R SUPERIOR to Margarito, so it's NOT a Given that Margarito BEATS Zab...Shit, Zab will Arguably B THE BEST Guy Margarito's EVER Fought...

Shit brother Reed thats the whole Judah saga in a nutshell. What Judah COULD do with his talent versus what Judah WILL do. At his best properly prepared and mentally stable.... But we prolly never will see that Judah, so we may as well accept that if he fought Margarito right now he would be a gatekeeper and probably get Koed early

"DOMINATED Half of a Fight"

I don't know, I figure if you can't make it out of the second round you haven't been that comptetitive.

He had one good round and Tszyu corrected it in the second.

Judah showed periodic flashes against those fighters, but that's all they were. He isn't consistent and can't put a complete fight together...and he has poor stamina for a world class fighter. Judah struggles with pressure fighters.

Damn it! I thought this fight was already signed.

Magarito would have torn Zab a new asshole, and i was looking forward to it. Hopefully Judah will fight Wlad then.

Well, just Looking @ the VERDICT (Tszyu KO2 Judah) DOESN'T Tell the STORY of the Fight, Does It???...

To Say Kostya DESTROYED Zab in 2 Rounds DOESN'T ACCURATELY Describe what Happened...

Zab DOMINATED Round 1, Got KO'ed N Round 2 (somewhat Controversially)...Like it or Not, Kostya HAD Some ADVERSITY N that Fight...Kostya Had some ROUGH PATCHES N that Fight...

Obviously NOT Enough to Prevent him from WINNING, but U CAN'T Minimize or IGNORE Round 1...Zab WAS COMPETITIVE vs Tszyu, if Only BRIEFLY...

Wasn't Tommy Hearns COMPETITIVE vs. Marvin Hagler???:dunno:

ARGUABLY, Hearns DIDN'T Win a Single Round N that Fight...

The fact that it was one round minimizes itself.

To say he dominated half a fight like he won 6 rounds is a joke.

    You're now comparing Tszyu-Judah to Hagler-Hearns?

I know you're trying to make a point, but the fights weren't even similar.

They're Similar N the Sense that they were BRIEF KO's, yet COMPETITIVE for as Looooooong as they Lasted...

"However", NOBODY Argues w/the Idea of Hearns Being COMPETITIVE, even though he Arguably DIDN'T Win a Single Round...

if,If,IF Hearns Won ANY Round, it was the 1st, but Hagler was N Control the MAJORITY of that Round AND FINISHED that Round VERY Strongly...Rounds 2 & 3 were Obviously Haglers...

Zab Judah CLEARLY Won Round 1 vs Kostya...

So Again, if U Have NO Problem Saying Hearns was "Competitive" vs Hagler, HOW Can U Have a Problem Saying Zab was "Competitive" vs Kostya???

    How???:dunno:

Hagler-Hearns was IMMORTALIZED on the Strength of ONE Round...A Round that Hearns Probably DIDN'T Even Win, yet NOBODY has a Problem Saying he was "Competitive" w/Hagler, DESPITE Clearly LOSING Round 2 & Being KO'ed N Round 3...

Yet when REED Says Zab was "Competitive" w/Kostya by CLEARLY WINNING Round 1 & Being KO'ed N Round 2, it's a Joke???...
