Right now ill go with Zab. I am kinda surprised that Zab has taken this fight seeing as he is the frontrunner for the De la Hoya sweepstakes.

He's also being discussed for Cintron (among other fights) and supposedly can't spar til January.

well i can certainly understand why he'd take the Quintana fight over a Cintron fight. probably same money, and Cintron would KHTFO within 3 rounds, whereas Quintana is not a big puncher and could possibly lose to Zab.

if ODH even proposed fighting Zab in his next fight I'd no longer be a fan.

Zab easily messes up Cintron or Quintana thats why he's taking the fight. Plus Zab is straight thug and just likes to fight.
    Zab wins via brutal KO.

  like he did Baldomir and a 38 year old Pineda? gimme a break. Zan is talented. Has good punching power. But his durability is shit, and his ring generalship is crap. His defense is okay as long as he's fighting Mickey Ward or Quiroz.

Cintron would shit his pants if he fought Zab. Even this shot version would beat Cintron. I'd pick Qunitana to beat Zab though.

dude. you're insane. Judah wouldn't have a chance against Cintron. he wouldn't even get in the ring with him, let alone fight him, let alone beat him. digest that and then take a deep breath and return to us here in reality.

Oscar has already discussed making Manny Pacquiao a future opponent, which is way worse than fighting Zab Judah.

Not that I think it ever happens though.

My question is, if Zab & Quintana are fighting eachother in Feb, then who the hell is Williams gonna fight?

LOL, you are the 1 who needs to come back to reality. Zab wouldn't fight Cintron based on what exactly? Zab has fought MUCH,MUCH better competition than Cintron has. Zab speed would kill Cintron's slow ass. I don't need to take any deep breathes or anything else. Your opinions are far from factual.

    Oddsmaker's nightmare type of fight.

I wouldn't put a dollar on either guy.

Cintron stops Judah pretty early on. But its an explosive fight, no doubt.

He's better than Quintana though, and has the style to dispose of him. HOWEVER, Zab looked like he's badly slipped in his last fight. Perhaps the Cotto beating took something outta him. This fight will tell us for sure.

Zab has lost or looked bad to fighters of Quintana's quality and style before.

williams is gonna be ducked like the plague - you watch. only guy who could possibly beat him at 147 is margarito in a rematch. that's why he's out of the equation.

    i'd like to see forrest/williams or forrest/pbf.

and everyone here who claims forrest is a grappler better take that shit back. that was all mosley and raul fucking frank, not forrest - forrest is an exciting fighter always looking for the knock out.

According to La Primera Hora, Quintana is in serious negotiations with Paul Williams' camp for the Feb. 2 HBO slot.

Maybe Zab and Cintron can heal their wounds together and fight each other sometime next year

nice. Quintana/Williams, in my mind, is damn near a dream fight. Quintana is a smart-azz and crafty boxer - maybe he figures Williams out? I doubt he handles the work-rate though - and he certainly ain't gonna hurt him. Awesome fight!

I like Quintana, but I was actually thinking the opposite - I can't think of a single thing he does better than Paul Williams. IMO, the fight is a stylistic nightmare for Quintana.

    damn you !!!

so what style do you think does beat Williams? see i think Quintana's penchant for staying low, and throwing punches from a shell, not to mention his pivoting is exactly what you need to combat William's onslaught of activity.

maybe i need to rewatch some Quintana fights, but i seem to remember his being real good at turning his opponents and deflecting their punches with shoulders and elbows - standing in and getting the better of exchanges but not to the point of being stupid. that's why i thought he'd be able to beat Cotto - and maybe he would've had it not been for the shot to his kidney.

To me its a case of if P-Will has enough power to knock him out.

Williams can punch when he wants to (specifically, when he sits down on his power). the thing is, he almost always has it in his head that a fight is going the distance.
