After Roach repeatedly spouted how determined and focused Manny was and there being 'absolutely no distractions" and how it was his best camp ever....apparently Ariza says Manny wasn't doing things "his way." http://www.boxingscene.com/ariza-pacquiao-not-happy-with-win-wants-marquez-again---46012
I thought Marquez was being class-less by leaving the ring, but now Pac's camp is showing us who are the sore losers.
winners dont limit the press to two questions after the fight... The body language from the entire Pacman teams says it all...
Not sure how. Ariza said Pac looked horrible and the rounds could have gone either way. Ariza sounded more pissed at Pac that he didn't train his way, which is understandable. Pac starts to believe the hype and begins to cater to his 100 man entourage rather then train as hard as he possibly can. Sounds more to do with strategy then excuse making. Fuck what Roach said. It's his job to say "we had the best camp ever", until the fight is actually over. I really don't know how Pac can concentrate, with all the hangers-on he has to entertain. He's a lot like the Filipino Ali. Floyd has a ton of lackeys, but they all seem to serve some sort of a purpose to him. Pac is like the local cat lady. Hoarding poor Filipinos instead of felines.
Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser. He knows he lost, the body language said everything. Excuses are nothing new.
None of us know how good his camp was or wasn't, but he looked ripped. The most ripped he's looked since the Hatton fight actually. But he looked slow and crap.
Um no, He won more rounds in this fight than he did in either of the first 2 fights. He looked perfectly fine...it's just that Marquez isn't going to just sit there and get hit like the others.
wrong. These are excuses from the guys who picked him to beat Mayweather. Most people thought he looked like a "one trick pony" in 2004 for example.
look at highlights from 08 / 04.. look at the shots Manny landed in both fights..that didnt happen the other night... take your time
Fuck excuses. I mean seriously. Paco has been fighting for what now 20 years ? Paco has had how many pro fights ? And on top of that he fought the guy 24 rounds already. Once that bell rings he fights period. He's been trained to fight for years and years and as long as his cardio holds up (that's the only excuse about training I would buy) then he was good to go . Fuck that. It's not like he had an algebra exam and forgot to study or some shit. Shut the fuck up little man and enjoy your win.
Exactly, I dont give a shit about how good or bad the camp was. Not training hard enough is NOT an excuse
You knew he either didn't feel he won, or was very unsatisfied with his performance, based on the absence of that cheesy smile he always has.
Sting Bwalaya who sparred with Pac for this fight told me Pac doesn't work as hard in camp as Floyd does. He helped Floyd prepare for the Mosely fight.
Did he say anything else? Pacquiao strikes me as the type that has a lot of hangers on and likes to fuck around, but when it comes to the crunch, works very hard. Who knows though, maybe he doesn't.
If you lose the fight because you didn't train hard enough, then you aint good enough to win. Training is not optional, if you dont train properly you deserve everything you get
Well he said don't ever go on the ropes against Pac because when he did he got caught with all kinds of hot stuff. He said when he gave him movement he was easy to handle and Pac couldn't do much.
Why did he get sent home? Because he was nausing Pac? :: Did he mention anything about the speed/power differences of Pacquiao and Floyd?
Lennox Lewis lost to Hasim Rahman because Rahman was just THAT GOOD. Any other explanation or qualification of that is just excuse making.
he didn't get sent home...His achilles injury flared up and he left because he couldn't function effectively anymore. I just saw him recently he can hardly walk and the doc said he has to stay off of it for at least 2 months. The only reason he accepted the Pac invite was because Pac pays 1200 a week to his sparring partners which is big for a young guy trying to survive in Vegas and pay his bills. Initially Freddie asked him to go to the Phillipines but he declined because of the injury so they decided to meet in L.A when Manny came in instead.
