Russia suspended from World Athletics. I think that's fitting with the video above. Rocky lifted barn doors but Drago was on the juice.
About damn time to give Rocky Balboa the long overdue props for ending the Cold War! He remains the most underrated heavyweight champion even if he was the most important.
These fuckers must have read my Rocky IV review on FightBeat.com that I posted several months ago. :warning:
This video shows how RIDICULOUS Rocky IV was. It was entertaining at the time though and hardly anyone (in the west) noticed this simply because of the cold war climate at the time.
Rocky IV is STILL entertaining to watch to this day, simply because of how ridiculous it. Easily one of the most ridiculous movies ever made, but fun to watch.
Rocky's robot butler was the best thing to happen in film since those goddamn dirty apes took over the world 10's of years into the future. :bears:
I totally agree with this take. It is an extremely dumb movie, yet I have rewatched it several times, and even now watching those training scenes makes me want to go to gym
The robot part is genius. It is obvious that Drago is portrayed as another kind of 'robot' in the film. I think the usual interpretation would be that we should be human, not robots (which is what Drago says in the end, too). But perhaps the actual point is that robots should be our slaves or toys and Soviets should know their place in this sense
