Lewis had a very hard time sparring Mike Tyson in 1983. He talks openly about it.
Of course he tries to make out that when they fought, they were both 100% prime and that he won and is the best.
Is it just me, or is Lummox's British accent completely gone? At this point, the guy sounds like a Jamaican/Canadian/American. He no longer sounds like he EVER lived in England.
Always was a Jamaican / Canadian IMO. Never bought into that fake "well, my Mum once drank a pint of beer in a London-pub so I'm claiming England" bullshit allowance to represent a nation.
don't think the accent's become significantly less british or anything. it just was never very british in the first place, always had the Canadian twang, with Jamaican-sounding words here and there.
a black guy from jamaica who's spent time resident in Britain but has always identified more with Jamaica than he does with britain - there are plenty of black brits just like that.
That was the part when he said it was "rough." Funny how he acts as though their 2002 fight was during the prime of both their careers.
no. He's says "box" like an English man. He doesn't say "barx" they way an American or Canadian would say it.
Lewis is funny. The guy somehow didn't fight a prime version of the other 3 most talented guys in his Era. He and his fans claim he was majorly avoided yet he sure did jump all over the step aside money rather than pushing harder for the actual fights
